All I want is a piece of Loot, is that so much to ask

There’s only one linear playstyle in this expansion, you get to 60, farm Torghast for leggos and pick one of the three content paths to either earn your 35 anima or get lucky and get a piece of loot which btw, rarely ever happens due to loot nerf.

If someone makes a character and then decides to reroll, they shouldn’t have to suffer through the entire monotonous journey just to end up at the same grind they already completed.

People are asking for quality of life changes while you attempt to derail their wishes by debating the semantics of an alt or a main.

Then put a little more thought into what you’re doing before you invest that time? Just because a decision you make doesn’t matter to you, doesn’t mean you should suddenly get a shortcut. It means you should make responsible decisions. If you want to have the rewards of that content, then do the content.

This might be the most tone deaf response i’ve ever heard, did you even read the OP at all or were you already preparing your point before even bothering to read the room?

The problem isn’t people not doing the content that gives them loot, it’s that the loot itself doesn’t even drop often anymore so there’s no incentive to do that content anymore. This forces people to do content they never wanted to do, playing with people who gate keep behind iLevel and if you ever wanted to reoll, you’re now officially behind everybody else due to poor gear gating mechanics.

You can keep trying to white knight all you want, but the reality is the stance that this game is overly grindy is a popular one and is shared by many for a reason.

His main is 190 ilvl LFR monk who is only renown 18. He sits in trade chat trolling for hours on end. You are wasting your time responding to him.

Nice try but that isn’t even my main, i’ve not only done more content than you but hit higher rating than you as well. Trust me, I have more of a reason to talk about this because I actually did the content while you didn’t.

But go off, let me hear more about your detective work.

Then you should have no problems posting on your main. You know, to show us all the hard work you’ve done.

Only thing worth spamming is chill arenas. PvP gearing is much easier and if you dgaf you’ll get your 1250 honor for the vault as well as a gearing pathway thats easier. Do daily bonus pvp bgs and ebgs and upgrade the slots you need and that’s about it.

And do what? derail this topic further?

You just gave the most tone deaf response ever, got shut down and couldn’t even respond but now want to circle back to some irrelevant point some troll said?

Let’s stay on topic.

This is the OP, so address this.

time the keys and you’ll get gear? its no way youre doing them for hours and not getting anything.

You are literally part of the smallest population of players who have both the skill and time if you can time +15 keys or get 2.1k+.

The reality is that a lot of people will never get past +10 due to rio gate keeping, and most of them don’t get loot as it is in lower keys so even if they time it they get discouraged to keep trying.

The loot famine is real, and it’s affecting every type of player except for the minority that no life this game.

Oh no, I want to see your credibility is all. And I’m far from shut down. Please, name anytime this game in it’s inception has given you a free pass because you choose to change your class at the drop of a hat. I’ll be right here waiting. Because it certainly hasn’t. If you wanted a rep reward, you grinded that rep out… again. You wanted another enchanter to have mongoose you had to kill Moroes again just as you did the first time.

Blizzard didn’t give you a full gladiator set whenever you changed to your next flavor of the month class. They didn’t give you a max profession because you already had one maxed. They haven’t given you renown at the level of a main just because you’ve done the content, and they don’t just boost you to 60 because you’ve done it already.

+1ing a 10 gives you 3 pieces of loot. who said you had to farm 15s or get a high io to get loot? lol come on dude. make your own groups. the loot drop doesnt change the lower the key is either. you’re making this stuff up as you go.

Nice job trying to create a new argument out of thin air, literally no one said they wanted that for their alts.

They wanted quality of life adjustments to make it easier, you’re the one getting offended at something so small.

Again, most people will not see a +10 with their iLevel being the barrier or their rIO score. They can’t even see the key because they haven’t done anything close to it or higher so they won’t be able to start their own groups either, and if they’re just stuck pugging there’s risks of groups not working out and disbanding or the loot you do get not being usable at all which wastes your entire time.

The loot drop situation is more nuanced than you make it out to be.

You are trying to turn the topic back onto the OP of this discussion, not what I had quoted. Nice try with deflecting and all but I want my question answered. In regards to my question of treating an alt like a main, and then further asking for example of situations where Blizzard has given you anything I have listed when you stepped in to answer my original question. Where is your example that because you did the content once, you’ve been given all of these shortcuts?

My statement stands. If you want to play an alt, you should do the content. There has never been a reward system that just because you’ve done it once, you just automatically have it handed to you. If there is, where is your example? Again, I’ll wait.

This is what you quoted:

This person is not asking for a free ride as you put it, he’s not asking for free legendries as you put it, and he’s not asking for anything free at all in fact.

He’s simply stating his opinion that he has run a dungeon 5+ times, never receiving the legendary that he needs on an alt and he’s venting that frustration on an OP that is directly dealing with lack of loot which is the entire premise of this discussion.

He’s doing the content he needs to for gear, and is not getting it even after multiple runs.

This isn’t content for some crazy rare item or mount, rather a legendary power that is on a bi polar loot table considering some drop 100% and some drop like 1% of the time.

There is nothing wrong in him wanting consistency and ease of access for his characters when it comes to simple things like a legendary power.

Yeah, 0-1 pieces of loot drop in the raid per boss. The only way to get gear is to pvp

See you in 9.1

I quoted him and asked the question of “Why are you treating an alt like a main?” You invaded the conversation with this gem:

“Because this is a videogame and not a job, not everything should feel like a chore when it could just as easily be account bound progress or skippable content.”

You were the one who implied it could easily be account bound or a way around it in the form of skippable content because it’s already been done.

"If someone makes a character and then decides to reroll, they shouldn’t have to suffer through the entire monotonous journey just to end up at the same grind they already completed.

People are asking for quality of life changes while you attempt to derail their wishes by debating the semantics of an alt or a main."

So I’ll ask one more time and you’ll not get a response from me until you can answer my question. Where is the content where any of this has ever been done before just because you decided to reroll FotM or because you’ve already done it?

I’m going to be honest with you, I would be more than happy if I never received another response from you again

I find your takes on loot and alts as lackluster as the class you main.

The past two weeks have given me vaults with no upgrades on both of the characters I actually access the vault on.

It’s like the game is deliberately choosing whichever slots won’t be upgrades (and I didn’t have many slots over 187 when these happened).

The loot shower was a bad idea, but a total loot drought isn’t a good idea, either. They need to find a middle ground with this already…
