We had WG, Tol Barad & Old Ashran and ppl loved them, why not have a new one every expac? It would make PvP much more unique and fun than running those same years old BGs over and over again
Warmode just doesn’t cut it. There’s really no incentive for players to participate other than finishing their weekly quests.
After one of the PvP devs left, they said they wanted to make more stuff for PvP, but they weren’t given adequate resources. Thus, they were limited to making like one or two new arenas for each expansion.
I wish they kept doing ground mount restricted areas for current content. Dragonriding is all well and good, but stuff like Timeless Isle was unbeatable.
That’s so 2004 —when the world pvp battles would go on for days and crash all the servers over and over and over. Blizzard made pvp servers and pvp instances of those popular contested areas in response.
Been there, done that, the lag was so insane NOBODY could play.
Surely Blizzard could do that now considering hardware is way better these days compared to back then
I think one part of it is that zones are way too large now with no particular choke point, so for players actively seeking WPVP, they don’t have any particular area to start.
When one group starts farming a particular area, players from the opposing faction are more likely to form a group to wipe them.
It’s in the feed, I often just click them to make them disappear, sometimes I offer commentary…maybe 1% of the time, normally I just leave the PVPers to their mini-game.
it’s not MY real end game, and if even one refuses to play along your ‘absolute endgame’ isn’t absolute. Not saying they need to remove it, I mean let the bully boys have their mutually abusive fun, who am I to judge? For me, it’s a no and it will always be a no. Somehow I don’t feel any sense of loss, looking over my shoulder for in world opposition is enough for me.
