I was able to get both my gems last night after I saw someone post it was working. Could have been a fluke cause less people were there? No one tried to do anything fancy.
The “cave is collapsing” or whatever message never popped up to kill the reward.

That was luck. That’s how it’s been working the entire time - I got all of my citrines last week. It’s still just as bugged as it always was

As a longtime fan, I’ve always admired Blizzard’s commitment to only releasing content that is fun and polished. Unfortunately, Siren Isle doesn’t meet these high standards and feels like a deviation from your tradition of excellence. It might have been better to delay or cut it than to release it in its current state.
I hope future content will return to the high-quality experiences that we all love and expect from Blizzard.

I look forward to grinding all the mounts and collectibles from this place in two expansions when I can just one-shot everything and no one else is there.
Honestly I’ve felt like this with all of TWW. The last time I played was BFA, so I can’t comment on SL or DF, but TWW is definitely far worse as far as bugs and broken things go then any time I can remember.

What is the team doing about the bug not allowing gem acquisition from the Earthen/Kobold Excavation?
The gem is the BiS for many and like so many things in this patch, is broken AF.
I’m also confused by the statement that all gems are no available. After receiving gems from the other two Excavations the reward is replaced with a lackluster loot box with a paltry amount of of Blessed Iron currency. So where are these other gems?
why must you lie to us, the Fathomdweller’s Runed Citrine is not available to everyone.

It is Christmas after all. But I would have expected a fix today at least.

then you’re one of the lucky ones that was able to get it, I’ve killed the boss for it 15+ times but it is still bugged.
So I say again, the gems are not available to everyone. If they can’t fix the boss then just add it to the vendor for everyone because we shouldn’t be locked out of player power because of a bug.
yeah I had to kill it many many times, on the positive part I ended with a lot of bronze and currency for the island mogs.
The bug seems to have deteriorated to the point that the event is now ending before the cave entrance is even cleared. I don’t understand why this wasn’t fixed with maintenance on Tuesday.
Just chiming in with some feedback on this part; if the devs had made it so the different invasions cycled on the hour instead of weekly it may have felt better, but honestly I really don’t care about the ring at all. It’s late season, I don’t want to grind for a minor temporary power gain at this point, just make these mini patches about fun things to do.

Still needs to be fixed.

This can be easily hotfixed but they’re terrible at their jobs.
