Same issue when the XP launched---- no characters on any server… any ideas?

The maintenance message is still showing on the launcher. Once everything is back up, find your server in the list and they will eventually appear on the character selection screen.
Several friends are up killing the world boss.
On the same server as you, or a different one?
I have char’s on several realms, there are zero showing up at the server select screen.
This is happening to me as well. The maintenance message is gone from my launcher, yet none of my characters on any of my servers are showing up.

Closed game, waited- rebooted several times… no dice.
Same here. I’m finding it really hard to figure out what the subscription is for when WoW has worse servers than any f2p game I play.

Same here, realms not showing, when selected them, is a black screen, no characters showing. It’s the same for my guild mates in Area 52

I am having the same issue as well. This has happened with every patch since 9.0.1.

I’m asking if your friends are playing on the server you’re trying to login to. Ignore the character totals, they will eventually appear if you select the server you want to login to.
Note: servers are NOT in alphabetical order.

I can see chars in low pop servers, none of my high pop realms are showing though.
Elocin, you are missing the point- there are zero characters on any sever showing to select is the issue we are all having.
Same for me on Area 52. Log in, no characters. Identical to release day.
No one’s characters are “missing.” All that’s missing is the visual representation of their totals per server because the servers are still coming back up from maintenance. Additionally, this lack of totals has been a known bug Blizzard mentioned they are working on since the expansion launched. Yes, it’s frustrating and we’re all waiting for it to be resolved, but nothing has happened to your characters.
Once you make it to the character selection screen for any server, your client is trying to establish a connection with the authentication server. Again, this has been an ongoing problem, and sometimes it can take up to 10+ minutes to see the characters load in.
Not totals. No characters on the selection screen.
I think we all know nothing happened to our characters, we’re just annoyed that we can’t get in but plenty of other people are… no need to be obtuse man.
