Absolutely hilarious people saying warlock is good in M+. Right now the best warlock can’t clear a 13 yet there’s classes that clear 14. The jump from 12-14 is huge. While warlock is not terrible it’s far from a good class right now. Either the top classes need to get nerfed or warlock needs some decent buffs to compete. I pulled 1.5mil my last run, so I’m pretty sure I’m playing the class correctly. I normally play with a Sin rogue that’s always 100k or more above me, he’s getting a buff next patch. Where the hell is my buff blizzard?

This. Why would you take a warlock when you can take mage which will outperform in dps, give AI, food AND hero. Healthstones and gateway aren’t close enough to a reason. Raiding? Now thats a different experience.

? There’s so many classes behind Warlock atm, the only classes I would rather bring in M+ than a lock is Ret paladin and Frost dk, that’s considering I’m the lock already. The only caster better than lock is Arcane (and Frost, arguably) mage, which is FOTM.
??? Majority of classes can’t clear 14’s at all. It’s all Dk’s - Arcane/Frost mages - Aug because that’s the meta. Also 14’s are clearly for the top players, it’s not a metric to say something is weak. BM, Outlaw and Sub Rogue, Fire M and Feral druids are weak, they barely have a 1% participation in M+ keys. Warlocks aren’t even in the middle, they’re above average lol.
Warlock isn’t weak, the strong specs are just light years ahead of everyone.
I have been playing WoW since 2005, AND I have ALWAYS played Warlock, I always achieve a decent IOscore in M+, currently I have 2.3k, it is little but it is something, I have not been able to upload because they simply DON’T INVITE ME, to the keys, Blizzard will not do anything to accommodate This, this is the time for other classes, remember their content has always been so mediocre that they have to keep idiots changing characters to feel like power rangers and hit the M+ hard, blizzard only keeps you busy changing classes so that the game doesn’t end so quickly, I have been in this for more than 20 years and I already know how they work, and at this moment it is not the warlock’s turn to shine because they don’t feel like it and that’s it, PS: don’t think it won’t I know how to use my class, I know how to use it very well but I have seen even the PRO PLAYERS not have to look at playing with the warlock because both 3 are completely ruined,
These people think getting KSM and one or two pieces of hero gear makes them pro players. AOTC andys
How do people still, after decades, not understand how patching works.
Blizz does several, several balance updates to patches before they actually go live.
You’d be insane to think more balancing won’t be put in before 11.0.5 drops.
Stop making mountains out of molehills when the current patch is anything but set in stone.

Demo locks are consistently topping meters in my keys so I disagree, affs damage is unreliable because of how fast stuff dies and destro I haven’t really seen any
When I spec aff, I can put up crazy numbers against dummies. But my gear and IO aren’t really at the point where I can get into groups where stuff lives long enough to actually see those same numbers. So I run demo and have been enjoying it while also keeping up with if not topping meters for my groups.
I had typed a long response earlier to what my experience with demo is and frustration with the spec, so I opted to go check the data since I like to see things for what they are and not go with feels, at keys 7 and below demo seems to be doing fine, since mobs die quickly that affliction and destro don’t get to shine and demo does, switch it up to high keys 8+ and you start seeing that the spec is lacking something and at some point there are simply no demo locks, the data is just that.
You can switch the warcraftlogs stats to whatever +X key you want and see the data yourself.
Not letting me post the link to warcraftlogs for some reason but head over to check the M+ stats for yourself, now this will vary and things might change come tuesday or when people get access to 4-set (which ours is tied to hard casting SB or the ramp up the spec comes with), that being said, don’t get me wrong, I’ve been demo for a long time and the spec does feel good, love the hero talent theme, so we’ll see.
Once the Lust role is cover, the next obvious spot should be a lock. We’re too sexy.

As I’m doing +7 now, Hellcaller shadowburn destro feels stronger. Wither is my #1 damage source.
But I really need large packs. My damage tied to how the tank pulls and move. Anticipating the tank is hardest part of playing my lock.

Also the problem with destro is tanks love to pull them out of rain of fire. But thats also because squishy tanks need to kite and so on it goes.
Won’t go as far as to say all specs are bad, some could use a little tuning like Demonology/Aff. But Destro & Affliction are doing pretty fine in M+.
I think you need a little bit more practice or maybe some better groups to practice whatever spec you are playing in M+.
Aaraka, SV, Siege famous for this. Once the pack is planted, dps is enough to actually rip threat. Something I haven’t seen since Classic.
Tanks who are always moving and dps can drop below the tank.
