Alchemy vs Enchanting for lazy gold?

I am not a raider or even really a mythic person.

Which is better for lazy gold making? This is what I have so far:

Alchemy:
Pros:

  • Much easier to level than Enchanting
  • Can use the oils for levelling/questing
  • Current potions/oils are ok revenue
    Cons:
  • Old potions aren’t worth much and sell poorly
  • The price for current potions will drop over time
  • Most old herbs are glorified vendor trash
  • Current herbs drop in price fast

Enchanting:
Pros:

  • Old dust/shards still have decent prices
  • Plenty of old armour/weapons to disenchant for the above
  • Selling enchanted ore/leather/cloth
  • Old enchants and current common-enchants are bought by levellers
    Cons:
  • Hell to level
  • Not a raider so good luck getting epics to disenchant
  • Above means I probably won’t get to 150 SL until the next expansion
  • Basically all my profit will disenchanting old raid/dungeon stuff and selling the mats

Alchemy and sell shadestones.

Alchemy. Enchanting is way too chaotic and people will not need new enchants every week.

(Enchanting is quite good if you are willing to put in plenty of time and effort, however.)
