Hello all, this is the first time I have posted here using this character, but I have a question, and am hoping for a civil answer…
I started this toon because I wanted another Mage, and chose Alchemy as a profession for her, but have run into a wall it seems.
I have managed to get her Alchemy up to 300, and cannot find a way to progress any further as the trainer in Stormwind, only seems to offer Cataclysm Alchemy, which I cannot learn until level 78…
Is that it, and as far as I can go with Alch right now, to 300 skill?? If not, which trainer will teach me the next level up of Alchemy then?? Is there nothing between Vanilla & Cata?? Isn’t there Burning Crusade Alchemy somewhere, then Northrend Alchemy??
Elsewise it looks like once you reach 300 in a profession, you are dead-locked until you get to level 78 on your toon, which seems a bit odd as leveling professions is a big part of character development in the game.
Please elaborate, and Thanks in advance!!
Ok, first off, you mentioned wanting another Mage, but you’re a priest…
Second, you’re in Vanilla content, which always had a 300 cap on professions.
Third, why are you thinking there is nothing between Vanilla and Cata, profession-wise?
Fourth, I’m incapable of a completely civil answer, so here is a snarky gif for you:

Yes. Burning Crusade Alchemy is taught in the first Burning Crusade zone, which you can access at 58. Northrend Alchemy is taught in the first Northrend zone, which you can actually access sooner, since you can go there by boat. I’m not sure if there is a level requirement to learn it though, there probably is.
The reason Cataclysm Alchemy is available from the same Stormwind trainers as basic Alchemy is because Stormwind doubled up as the home city during Cataclysm.
Both Outland and Northrend are accessable by level 58 or 60 (I don’t remember which with the new change). As was said above, you can learn Outland Alchemy in Hellfire Peninsula in Honor Hold (Alliance). You can also learn it in Shattrath. For Northrend, you can learn it in the opening port city in Borean Tundra and Howling Fjord along with Dalaran-Northrend.
I will forewarn you now though that MoP professions are scattered around the whole continent. You will find herbalism relatively quickly in the first village after you get done with the opening, but Alchemy is found by talking to one of the Klaxxi in the Dread Wastes. Fortunately, Alchemy only needs you to learn the base recipes and you discover the rest.
Thanks for the replies all, and yes you are correct that this is a Priest, not a Mage, as I was trying to make a Jaina copy toon…
Also Beaupeep, the GIF was unnecessary truly. I mistakenly typed in Mage, I am aware of this, as I am also aware that I must get to a higher level before I can go to Honor Hold to continue training my Alchemy. Irregardless, Thanks for taking the time all!!
@Tyriaan
Yes, I have heard that Pandaria trainers can be a chore to find sometimes, but I am not there yet, just trying to keep leveling from 300 right now!!
