Alchemy - Patron work order bug

Summary: When I attempt to complete this one patron work order, it casts like the outputs are being crafted, but nothing is created and the order cannot be completed.

Details: I currently have a level 80, maxed out Alchemist, that knows all of the potion/phial recipes except for the PvP ones. I am trying to fulfill a patron work order for Phial of Bountiful Seasons.

I have confirmed the following:

  • I have crafted this item before
  • I have the materials in my character’s bags sufficient to craft the recipe
  • The slider shows that I am crafting the item at the proper quality level (level - 2)
  • The order has not expired (over 6 days remaining)

I have tried:

  • Reloading the UI
  • Logging off
  • Logging off and waiting (been having this issue since this morning - 8 hours ago)
  • Canceling and starting the order over
  • Using mats that give me more that just barely the quality level required (in case there was a calculation error not showing)
  • Several combinations of these steps

Request: Has anyone seen something like this recently? I haven’t seen any similar topics posted (searched with Google and Forum search bar). Does anyone have any advice on other options I could try?

EDIT: Attempted to craft this again. Oddly, I do get Phial Spillover stacks when crafting this unsuccessfully.

Adding to this. I did a patron order from some flasks. Got a multicraft of 4, when the order was for 2. I did not get the extra 2. Is this intended?

There’s actually other posts on your issue. This seems by design. I would look at the other Alchemy patron order threads.

When you do an order for another player and get a multicraft proc, do you get the procs???

**** if i know. Alchemy doesn’t get work orders.

I had this issue with a tailoring work order. The order required a rank 4 item and the default I could make with R1/R2 mats was a rank 2, so i clicked ‘best possible reagents’ to bump it up to r3, used concentration to push the item up to r4, clicked craft and… nothing happened.

It took a while for me to work out, but for me it was because the patron had provided some of the mats at r2. when I clicked ‘use best possible reagents’, the game obligingly recalculated the final result using the r3 mats in my bag - but when i actually clicked craft it didn’t override the patron mats, so while it was telling me i was making the item at r3 using r3 mats + concentration, I couldn’t actually make it at r3 with the patron’s r2 mats, so the craft simply wasn’t progressing.

i didn’t lose any mats or concentration, and as in your case there was no error message to explain this so it took a lot of clicking around. this could be what’s happening with you?

Possibly. That makes sense. Did you get it to work? I haven’t gotten it to work on mine yet.

no, i gave up on my order - i didn’t want to pay r3 prices for the raw mats I had to supply.

Yes that’s happened to me. If it is supplying some of the materials at rank 1 or rank 2 and you have rank 3 in your bags, it does the initial calculation based on the rank in your bags (if you have use best rank ticked)… then when it goes to craft it doesn’t work with no error message.

I’m having the exact issue. Customer service was a waste of time. Help!

All multicraft procs go to the NPC. Pretty sadge, especially on some items. But that’s how it works with regular orders, too - if you multicraft something, the buyer gets the extras.

The only thing you can ‘keep’ from the order is anything you nab from resourcefulness.

As for the issue - I’ve had that happen if I had ‘use best possible reagents’ selected. I now have it off all the time because it seems to do something weird with the order interface.
