Blizzard need to do something about it.
How is it a good gamedesign ? My bags are packed with free potions/elixirs wtf. I’m not even alchemist but this is bad.
Ofc some players will defend it because “muh it benefit me”

Since blizzard chose to do this the best solution i have is nerf the bag consumes to be “lesser”
Make them work for half the duration and be 25% weaker. So you get 30 min on a lesser flask instead of 60, and if the normal gives 40 stats the lesser gives 30.
Or no flasks at all, to be fair lol
This is a huge FAIL for Devs… They just killed the profession.
You get 60-70 free potions/elixirs per day, which represent hundreds of flowers…
Multiply this per the number of players per day, that’s a massive non sense…
Assuming they stop it right now, the impact on the economy will still last for months.
Either they give the opportunity to Alchemist to change profession at the same level they are right now, or they introduce new recipes for alchemist way more powerful.

Honestly don’t know why they didn’t give TBC crafts in those bags instead.
It’s still free buffs and it wouldn’t mess up the alchemy market as much.
Would have been better if it was a bag of herbs, at least then you still have to go through an alchemist and he can charge a crafting fee, and inscription can eat some of the herbs as well.
They could have made it just drop some herbs, cloth, ore, exc. Based on the player who got the bag professions.
As an example while leveling my hunter and getting the satchels i have mining engineering.
So if the bag dropped raw ore and some engineering parts, that would help me level my professions, that would be nice. But keep the higher teir stuff out of it. The bags should be more focused on helping level professions if they go that route. So an alchemist or herbalist would still get herbs, but then, that doesnt cheat the herbalist or alchamists. Because its only those with that profession getting those.

ive sold plenty of potions in my day. not just flaks dude. Raid days man i mean, protection pots mana pots etc . cmon my guy

The easiest solution to this would be to make the contents of the bonus boxes BoP. People can vendor what they don’t need and still get a useful amount of consumables for personal use all without destroying the alchemy market.
I just started getting ore/herbs from the adventure boxes. I think blizz is now equalizing things.
Same Blizz listened to OP @Cryptoface. Mans literally just saved Alchemy and the entire World of Warcraft economy with this thread. Just got cobalt ore in one and herbs in another. I love it
Get rid of the boxes. Just give tanks and healers other stuff. How about a 20% rep bonus for 12 hours after completing a heroic? Or something else of real value that does not inject the market with tens of thousands of craftable items?

I guess drop alchemy and pick up a new profession. You guys seem to love new Blizzard making changes to the game. These are the ridiculous consequences. They don’t know what they are doing and there are always unintended side effects.

They need to remove all the stuff that came from the boxes from the economy or alchemy is done!
So it’s ok to screw over the herbalists just not the alchemists.
Oh no not the economy!!! It was so healthy before these 10g bags were introduced. Why blizzard why!!!

What I don’t get is if the loot box was supposed to be an incentive for tank/healers to run dungeons, then why did they also make them quest rewards? Are they trying to convince tanks to run dungeons or grind quests?

A few herbs does FAR less damage than a stack of pots/elixers.
Also it divides the damage up between 2 primary professions instesd of 1. Alchemy and inscription.
I would rather have them drop materials based on the chsrscters professions though.
So as a miner engineer i woukd get ore, bars, engineering mats.
