It is basically broken as hell.
Gather 1000 gold of worth mats only to be able to sell the stuff for 800 gold. No point. Shoulda just sold the mats.
Do your advanced experimentation only to blow up the first 1 or 2 times. Wait for the timesink to pass and then blow up the first time again.
This is just dumb—absolutely the dumbest thing. And of course, blizzard just covers their ears and inserts another mount into the game you can’t use in DF…
I’d say that if you find it hard to earn gold right now, the wow token is the way to go. Hard to beat 400k for $20. But alchemy is an okay gold producer for some things.
I get that. I think the issue is how much RNG there is stacked on top of RNG for progressing through alchemy. The experimentation is just plain broken.
I don’t make a lot of gold on my alchemist. It’s the first xpac this has ever happened and I suspect it is intentional.
But if you aren’t making any gold by this point, you probably haven’t been working at it very hard. With multicraft procs, it means you can make more stuff for less.
Experimentation should be over by now. I’m pretty lazy and I haven’t done any experimentation in months.
My biggest complaint is having to use the alter of decay. But that is water under the bridge at this point
Alchemy and enchant is dead prof in DF. Just it.
Blizzard clearly killed alchemy to sell wow token for money
I can’t stand the new system myself. The RNG placed in the crafting system reminds me of something you would see in a F2P/B2P game. Not being able to respec your points in crafting is also a bad idea.
If I wore a tin foil hat, I would say, blizz is setting things up for a B2P/F2P model.
At this stage, my alchemist has discovered everything that can be discovered for both phials and potions. I simply do not use those experiments anymore. I have better use for the mettle. Like doing the actual phials/potions i discovered!
Unless you do it to sometimes have a proc for a r3 phial/potions that sell ok without having the mats?
As for chanting, i made good gold this season with it, no idea what you are chattering about.
