Alchemy in Patch 8.2 🙄

So Alchemy, its a good proff you say. It has nice stuff. For example:

Yes indeed, its a nice upgrade for anyone not equipped with the higher levels of trinkets. But…

…and here is the painful But - it costs 150 zin’anthid herbs to make it. 150. And those herbs can only be found in the one, relatively small zone, of Nazjatar. And you are working against every other herbalist to get them. And the higher level alchemy trinkets need even more.

I spent an hour this morning gathering enough to make the 2 elixirs needed for the WQ. How in Thrall’s underarms can I possibly gather 150+ (remembering I couldn’t use them for anything else I might want to make as an alchemist). This is an absurd situation. They need to either reduce the numbers needed or increase the number of nodes across the zone.

At least your profession is useful, unlike gear crafting which is just a source of enchanting dust.

That’s ok JC is screwed too. There aren’t even enough gems in the AH on my realm to buy to craft a 410 ring that may or may not actually be an upgrade based on which stats it rolls with.

Alchemy at least has some new flasks and potions.

Professions in BfA

Yes I agree, as usual Alchemy seems to be the ‘go to’ profession. But it still means that gathering for it with only one zone providing limited stocks of the herb needed sucks. And the prices for it on the AH are prohibitive. Once flight is in, the farmers will be out in force collecting the herbs before anyone on the ground can get to them.

This isn’t something new. Blizzard simply isn’t capable of designing worthwhile professions anymore, everything needs to be streamlined.

I didn’t say it was new. Why do other expansions matter in the context of “professions in BfA”?

Professions in BfA are also different than they were in those expansions.

They are different in BfA and they are terrible. Professions get changed every expansion. Just because they were terrible two expansions ago does not mean they are the same.

Lol people that compare BfA to WoD. Honestly. Both terrible expansions for different reasons.

Nothing I typed is the least bit confusing, at least it shouldn’t be.

I do agree, I never disagreed. I just added in that professions being trash isn’t something new. Professions have been garbage since WoD. MoP was the last time professions had any meaning and were worthwhile.
