I haven't seen any new recipes, trinket upgrades, or ANYTHING TO MAKE IT USEFUL beyond flasks!

No mention of a sanguicell / hydrocore trader yet, though there is speculation that you can downgrade the new BoP drops into sanguicell and possibly convert it to expulsom.
However the consumable professions generally do not need upgrading as a strength flask is just as powerful at the start of the first tier as it is at the start of the last tier, unlike armor crafting professions which just get weaker as the expansion continues without gear upgrades like the new sinister patterns on the PTR.
