Alchemy: flasks or potions

Help an old toothless fool out.

What are the flasks you would use and why?

If you can’t or won’t use a flask, what potions/elixars would you use instead?

Cheers

You should probably be aware that flasks require the recipe to be farmed, require a trip to scholo (or later BWL) to make, and that the lotus spawns worked very differently in vanilla than later xpacs. Basically there were 8 up each hour worldwide or continentwide, I forget which. And that was it.

Basically what I’m saying is, flasks are going to be crazy expensive and 99% of the people raiding won’t be using them. In fact what lotus I do get I’m just going to horde for Naxx. Yes even the ones I get next week when Naxx isn’t for a long long time.

It really should be common sense to look at wowhead recipes and know what elixirs you want for your spec too.

Yeah, but we all learn differently, and ain’t it nice to talk about the game?
See different ideas, etc

basically theres too many too list as some specs just use meelee orientated ones while thigns like ret pallies use them all.
Anything that requires 240+ herbing is raid ready.

Potions for levelling and early dungeons, flasks for top-end raiding as they persist through death where potions do not.
