Alchemy Experimentation

Since they turned the Basic Potion Experimentation and Phial Experimentation back on, I have had only 1 successful experiment of the past 11 attempts. That is less than 10% success rate and a lot of wasted materials. I can understand a fail can happen, but this is getting insanely ridiculous. Is this what Blizzard is calling “Working as Intended”? Because it is beyond frustrating to even try. It’s like Dueling max level bad player on a level 1, doomed to fail.

Yeah, if I’m lucky, I can get 2 experiments before exploding. If I’m lucky.

Taking forever to get to 100 lol.

We have talents we can get to lower the rate of exploding. But we can’t even get the knowledge points to get there because we keep exploding. :upside_down_face:

Yeah, but imagine if all professions had the same failure rate over 90%, 4 hour CD to continue and cost materials for each fail. Gatherers alone with a 10% success rate for a node/skin/herb while leveling Skinners, Miners and Herb gathering would leave the market empty.

I wish people posting these threads could realize how close the above quote is to actual, real life chemical research.

Minus the explosion part. If your things in the lab are exploding, you’re either doing energetic materials, or you need to go back to grad school.

You may have misread my post. I was pointing out catch 22 ridiculous it is.

It is a weird system, I don’t mind the random proc chance for learning new things like it has been done in the past.

Other professions work the same way. Eng learns their other armor recipes just by crafting the goggles and guns. even if you had to spec into potions or phials for it to happen like the other professions I think it would be better

Just have the trainer teach the basic simple potions/flask then when you spec into one or the other you randomly proc new ones from crafting those
