Have been iterating with the chap doing this new add-on manager, but ran into a very minor issue… previous iterations of his app showed an application icon in the Finder, but the last 2 revs did not. BUT he is seeing said icons on his Mojave system, but I don’t on my Sierra one… although I doubt the OS is the problem. I used to know about all this stuff, but that was back in OS9 days… anyone have a hint what might be the issue? Oh, he does have the icns resource in his package, so I CAN get the icon by going custom paste, but I want to know it SHOULD work!
Running Catalina 10.15.7 here, just grabbed the latest Ajour from Github. Icon is showing up just fine.
Maybe this is a Sierra-specific quirk?
While that is possible, previous versions very much DID show the built in icon…
Well, I just created a Sierra virtual machine to test, and my suspicions were correct. Whatever the cause is, the icon is missing under Sierra specifically.
There is no future in sierra. Get on 10.13.6 or higher if you can. 10.12.6 is way too broken in far too many ways
