The only thing that will kill WoW is itself. Itās doing pretty good at it so far. Maybe SL will resuscitate it.
Closest thing to compete with it is 14, but itās more of a symbiotic relationship. Players seem to hop back and forth and have concurrent subscriptions to both services. I mean, thatās what I do anyway.

Pirates of the Burning Sea killed WoW years ago. It just happened so quickly and so completely that nobody noticed.
Take a step back and youll notice that wow started to seriously decline when no new mmos were coming out anymore for blizz to be āinspiredā by. All those one xpac systems? Lifted from other games just long enough to eat their lunch then discarded.
No kidding right? I was at the E3 where they announced City of Villains. Because I tested it, somewhere in the attic Iāve got a little silk Arachnos Cape among my video-game collectibles.
Always going to love that game and miss it so terribly.
