Gotta say AI would be an interesting solution for mythic plus droppers. Might save a few keys on those that drop mid dungeon.
Imagine if they programmed a special dps AI that would bad mouth the party with snark and bad jokes. But did reasonably ok dps. Then had a 25% chance of running off with the loot and calling everyone a loser. The flavor would feel like home for a mythic plus player.
I donât think thatâs an unpopular opinion, but itâs what will happen with the segment of the playerbase that queues into content as their main focus.
Can the AI follower suggest the player dispels, purges, stuns, interrupts, buffs, self heals etc?
If new players join the game, do follower dungeons, and then graduate to playing with other people and are doing all these things, that would be an improvement.
I did a throne of the tides +14 on an alt last night with three shamans, and I donât think I saw capacitor totem used once, and seldom a wind shear. Also little to no self healing to help out the healer who typed more in chat than anything else. We did not time it.
Just isnât going to happen. Most healers or tanks wonât queue unless itâs with guildmates because some of them have felt or heard the horror stories of the toxic player base. Some are only into hardcore gameplay and wonât risk their keys to fail and time out on mythic content.
I personally use to love to heal or tank dungeons no matter how much I paid in repairs, but I refuse to do it now because of toxic elitest jerks. When did it become bad etiquette not to work together and help each other out and explain how or why something works the way it does? Canât count how many times Iâve asked questions in general, party or raid chat and got nothing but crickets.
What I think is this, the people that are super opposed donât want to not have the ability to trash talk a regular player and afraid if they design an AI that can out do their e-peen, it starts trash talking them.
What I think is that generally, a players own behavior is reflected back on them. If youâre always polite, and play well as part of the group, people will reciprocate.
I can only speak from my own personal experience, but the vast majority of the time, My groups are well behaved. I join up, I say some form of a hello, drop a feast if itâs a M+, then after they say TY, I tell a self deprecating joke about how I have a fishing problem. Usually gets a laugh.
Maybe ask how people are doing if weâre waiting on a 4th or 5th. Very rarely do I see bad behavior.
I donât queue into dungeons often but itâs basically a similar experience.
Maybe. Iâd be pretty surprised if the wait didnât get worse as needing 3 non-dps would push times up significantly, especially if Augvoker stays the only support spec for a while.
Yeah anything that takes more than 5 minutes is not worth doing, right zoomie? Maybe we could also add Family Guy and Subway Surfers clips to the UI while we play so our minuscule attention span doesnât have to go unstimulated for more than 1.43 seconds!
