If a queue takes more then 5 mins, fill whatever role with the AI followers. Then if someone of that role queues (tank/heal most likely) replace the AI with a real person.
That way DPS will never have a queue longer then 5 mins. I think 5 mins is more then enough time to wait for real people to signup. And if someone leaves or gets kicked, replace with AI until another real person is found to take their place.
Why bother with that when you can just queue right into FDs and have no queue at all?

Why not just run M+ if it’s rewards you’re after.
If you’re still using AI you should get the reduced rewards anyway.
Not valid for leveling at. No XP for completing like you get when random.
Also timewalking, Chromie time, gearing through heroics, holiday bosses etc. Queuing for anything as a DPS is awful and it’s why I don’t play a DPS. Waiting 10+ minutes just to do something like a holiday boss, or when leveling in dungeons etc just makes me logoff.
It’s not a feature intended solely for leveling.
Of course not. That bonus is the incentive to use group finder so groups actually fill. If you’re getting instant AI groups, you don’t need that incentive. Convenience comes with a cost.
The should probably just make holiday bosses role agnostic anyway if they aren’t going to make them really need tanks/heals.
They should just copy the whole stystem from ff14. Would also make the npcs way more interesting. 
I’m not completely familiar with FF14’s Ai/Bot system, but isn’t it already very similar?

i can level farming nodes, but cant level in AI dungeons.

What’s the actual XP/hour rate difference between farming nodes and FDs? That’d be an interesting comparison.
You can do pretty much all dungeons in ff14 with npcs. Great way for leveling and for the main story quest. You will also have main characters as your followers, who will comment on your battles and not no names like in WoW.
That’s an interesting way to go about it.
I’m assuming the WoW devs were emulating the FF14 model, so there’s no reason why they can’t improve on things especially if people think the FF14 model is objectively better.

No thanks. If I wanted AI bots in my group I’d queue up for follower dungeons.
This is a mmo keyword multiplayer. The solo ai mode is good for testing rotations or very basic things. They shouldn’t reward the same gear or xp as human dungeons
