Whenever I use it, it does nothing. It just makes my character slightly transparent. That’s it. I spent days with multiple characters parked at this npc to farm it and I finally get it and … yeah…
Are you targeting someone whose appearance you’d like to have when you use it?

It is a toy that changes your appearance to the player you have targeted while also turning transparent. If you have no-one targeted, you just go transparent.

I went in-game to test this toy, and was able to target a player of the opposite faction and successfully take on their appearance. However, there may be various factors such as interference from add-ons, specific details about your character (or about the targeted character), etc. which may effect your results.
If you continue to target other players, use the toy, and find that it doesn’t work as expected, it may be a good idea to submit a bug report while in-game (press ESC, click on the “Support” button, then select the “Submit feedback or bug report” option), or visit the “Bug Report” sub-forum in the Support section of these forums and explain what has been happening in as much detail as possible.

I remember my friends turning into chairs and books and stuff as well with it, such as in that dungeon in Dragonflight when you turn into a book and fly over the gap, my friend used it and turned into a book for the remainder of the dungeon and it was the greatest thing I’ve ever seen.
it copies the appearance of another player. if you use it on someone as they fly across as a book, you will become a book (so someone else needs to click book, and you hit skymirror while your target is still a book in case that wasn’t clear). same for chairs, but you’d need to figure out how to be a chair first. i used it in that dungeon to be a baby naga once lol. never thought of the book i’ll have to try that.
there’s 2 gems from jc with a similar effect, it swaps your appearances instead of copying (so if you use it on your friend they look like you, and you look like them). one was from draenor iirc, and the other is from df. unfortunately neither are toys, but they both have like 50 charges i think.
