To cut down on the wait times for DPS Blizz should introduce AI tanks and healers.
This would help with the shortage. 30-45 Min wait times are crazy.

If you play a class that can do tank/healing/dps you should take advantage of that.

Meh roll healer or tank or LFG if you want fast que times.
Fast que times are a benefit for all tank and healer players.
All you DPS hero’s just need to learn to wait

If you play a monk, tanking and healing are better than Windwalker. I hate Windwalker.

Most tanks and heals just need dps to make things go faster, not to do the instance.

I’d be okay with AI teammates, especially in leveling dungeons. Your teammates often feel like robots anyway.
I’d also love more meaningful 3-person content too. Islands were great, and I wish they offered better gear.

I remember when there was no party limit in vanilla and you could bring 15 people into 5 man dungeons.

Not to bring FFXIV up again, but I really like the ability to do dungeons with AI companions because they aren’t that bad for the most part. It helps out a lot if guildies are busy or not on and you don’t want a long queue. It’s especially nice if you’re trying out a new class or spec and you want to practice before you try it with actual players 
I feel like this would be the only acceptable time for AI in WoW. M+ should still be player-oriented, probably.

Or we can start treating tanks and healers better, many of them are apprehensive about pugging because they take alot of abuse.

To make the AI more realistic, the tank should stop every few minutes to answer the phone. Healers should pull more than the tank can handle, and spend more time DPSing even when people are dying.

Obviously!!! the dps can blame their tank AI for not being upto their standards when they end up wiping or stuck for whatever reason.
Meanwhile the real tanks will just power through with less whiny dps AI .

This future sounds amazing. Tanks and healer’s group up, and bring non whiny DPS bots.
DPS get hard stuck in normal dungeons because their tank/healer bots keep failing basic mechanics.
Can you imagine the forum tears? Day long queue timers for playing with real tanks/healer’s.

Did islands offer gear at some point? “Better” than what?
The only thing that would have made islands tolerable would be if we were able to solo them.

They sometimes offer 310 BoEs, but 310 is terrible in 8.3, unfortunately. I think going with friends is what makes them so fun for me. I queued for one without any friends once and it was just me and two strangers racing against the computer - it was terrible.
But they can be a fun little quest when you go with friends! If you go on Normal mode, you can pretty much do whatever you want, you’ll be invincible.
