AHK Allowed or is it bannable?

So I just started using GSE (Gnome Sequencer Enhanced) and like it but only in certain situations and it isn’t strategic at all. its nice when I am in a meeting or chatting on the phone and don’t need to worry about focusing on fights! Well, on their site they say to get example macros from a certain site and those people on the site say things like:

Run it at 40ms
or
Run it at 900MS

or whatever the number is. So I asked what that meant and they are referring to running AHK (Auto Hot Key) with GSE. On the site they say it is NOT bannable though there are a few comments that say it is, though no one can point to any real proof either way. I don’t know enough about how AHK works, so does anyone have the answer for SURE and not just “guessing”? Curious as the thread referred to it being ok for handicapped people only… so not sure what that means… any ideas?

Personally, I think if you have to question whether or not something will get you banned, you probably shouldn’t use it.

Anything, software or hardware, that automates a key stroke, is bannable. Use of third party macro software, such as the one described, is bannable.

The difference in ms values you describe is in reference to what is less likely to be detected, not what is bannable. Both are bannable.

GSE is an approved addon, if that what you were referring to as bannable. It is not. but your explanation on AHK does make sense and therefore would be.

So, the conflict basically comes down to this:

If all the program is doing is simulating key presses, it’s very difficult to prove if a person is botting or a player.

With that said, if they do detect you and find a way to prove it, you will be banned.

Ok, so your referring to AHK - Yeah, I agree. Makes perfect sense.
