And the buff didn’t bring him anywhere near his old power level. So the delves are far lengthier and far more monotonous.

It wasn’t supposed to. They aren’t meant to be easy at high levels. You shouldn’t expect free gear to just be handed to you.

We hear that there are millions (plural) playing the game. It is hard to imagine that only a small portion are playing delves. You can’t finish the campaign without doing at least a couple of them.
