As I’ve said, I don’t care what “everyone’s” opinion is (or really just 3 other posters who’ve addressed me). I care about Blizzard’s opinion.
And the support article is not clear. I’ll repeat myself again: the tactics it gives you to avoid the 3 most common PvP issues only addresses 2 of them.
I believe it was written by someone who didn’t fully understand the problem and believed you couldn’t do this sort of griefing on a PvE server. And if Blizzard gives clarity on this, I welcome it!
Except they arent quest NPCs, they allow you to accesd the Auction House and there are other means to access the Auction House. If it was the ONLY way to access the Auction House your argument using quest NPCs might actually have a leg to stand on; but you can access it through a multitude of ways.
Ironforge
Darnassus
Long Boi
Northrend Dalaran (for alliance at least)
Kul Tiras
Legion Dalaran
Oribos
Your Phone for crying out loud
These all give you access to the Auction House and even then YOU HAVE THE TOOLS INGAME TO STOP HIM FROM KILLING THE NPCS BUT YOU CHOOSE NOT TO.
So you get zero sympathy from me. Flag up and take the fight to him and stop him, or go use another auction house NPC because I can almost guarentee thats what Blizzard will tell you.
Northrend Dalaran (at least for Alliance) has one up where the old justice and valor badge vendors were. Not limited to engineers, everyone can use it.
ah…so that IS why someone stopped the player from killing that NPC i mentioned. Just as I suspected. It was the ONLY way to get or turn in that quest and he kept killing him over and over for half hour or so.
Half an hour is short, to be honest. But yes, continued zone disruption when there are no alternatives for long enough can get a GM to step in. Normally it takes a day or so of dedicated quest NPC killing to get to that point.
You are right though about the general standards for zone disruption. AH killing is not remotely one of them. Heh
Not even level 1s are limited. The tram is free to IF.
They 100% know you can do it on a PvE server. It is intentional that you can kill NPCs of the enemy faction.
hmmm… i think we are seeing a pattern here… a twenty year old pattern that seems to be extremely clear.
yeah doesnt make sense to me. also, can anyone help me understand that water is wet? i just cant wrap my head around it and the social contract i have with big water is unclear.
Weird back in the yesteryear they have taken action on individuals in the past even if both AH’s didn’t have the auctioneers killed. Same goes for in Org, couple ally hit one up and got damn near insta-booted. Guess either times have changed or depends on how busy the GM’s are.
lmao…I said this exact thing to someone in a debate once. He proceeded to tell me that no, water isnt wet. Water makes other things wet. (bangs forehead into table for their missing the obvious point, lol).
I still could swear that when I started playing Wow in 2017 that ogrimmar AH had an invisible barrier around the stage. I remember not being able to jump up with the NPCs there like I can now.
Maybe they did change something …then back again?
Works for me. I stand by all my comments. People have been aggressing me and personally attacking me for having the gall to not to want to ruin other players’ experiences this entire thread.
I just want everyone to have a good time, but apparently, that gets nothing but vitriol and aggression from so many.
Not in that area. That’s like saying quest NPCs can’t be because there are other quests in another area, doesn’t exactly work that way. If you can’t do what you’re supposed to be able to do in that zone - it’s considered zone disruption. It just depends on the frequency and how long it’s done.
Or, use the report system as it was intended to be used. Shrug
Zero sympathy for me, but I see you also don’t RP while on an RP server since you again ignored that rule.
You were “attacked” because you refused to acknowledge the evidence presented, because “you chose not to believe it”. It has nothing to do with you white knighting for the little guy. It’s actually the behavior of a troll.
But since you won’t believe a post with links, you won’t believe this either.
There is a lot of blood thirsty alliance pvpers who make it their purpose in life to kill horde sitting by the lake to goldshire. Tell em that there is a horde druid killing everyone who fights him and you need help. Since the druid is actively avoiding that area even though its widely known to be a pvp front for world pvpers it means he knows he’ll get destroyed there, meaning there’s probably a few people who could easily take him out. If those pvpers keep killin him in stormwind he’ll eventually leave.
But as many said before, its not griefing and its not against the rules, he will not get punished.
This happens regularly on my server. A group of Alliance Druids, Pallys and DKs storm the Valley of Strength and decimate everything!
After about twenty minutes we all get sick of it and log on our Mains, then there’s a fun brawl and eventually the Alliance run with their tails between their legs, and a few holes in their backs from my Flag of Ownership!
I think it’s fun when World PvP happens, it’s how the game used to be back before Warmode.
