I want to be able to be running around in the world and have an alert go off if someone posts a specific item for sale in the AH.
That wouldn’t be possible unless you had a second account scanning the AH constantly. I can’t think of any other legal way it would work.

In-game? No. Through 3rd party websites? Yes. TSM and co can do such things. Although they cost money for an additional sub. You can also just periodically check manually using the Undermine website.
