Should there be more agility 2h weapons in game? I’ve been leveling a survival hunter recently and ive been looking to endgame options for weapons. I find the best look and animations to have with this spec for me have been 2h swords. I’m not opposed to polearms but there should be more options in my opinion. I get that I can transmog over the polearms but if there are no 2h swords with agility they cant drop for hunters.
It would be nice if there was a way to unlock transmog options that your spec can use but aren’t on the loot table for your class.

It would be nice, yeah. There aren’t a lot of them though.
In the meantime you could unlock them on a warrior/DK/pally alt.

If you acquire the items on your hunter you will still unlock the transmog. It’s basically just been an accepted thing for a while that polearms and staves are agi weapons and maces, swords, and axes str weapons.
Mainly because the biggest user of 2H agi weapons are druids and brewmasters who are limited to staves and polearms.

This here. Running old raids with a warrior is the best way to get every kind of weapon xmog except the wands.
You also might take a max level warrior to look at the auction house and use the filtering option to show ‘uncollected’. Then click to browse things in the dressing room window.
There’s also that fight contest quest in old outland’s nagrand that has some nice weapon xmogs. And the way quests work, your xmog gathering warrior would get all the weapon xmogs in one shot of that.

I just cant bring myself to play a warrior. Kinda dumb that only one class can farm transmog.
Endgame and survival hunter in the same sentence.
What an odd and unusual combination. 
By the time i get around to finish leveling it shadowlands will probably be out. I am considering maining it at the beginning at least if I am still finding it fun to play.
Yeah, I’ve heard it does “ok” in pvp, I can’t say I’ve ever seen one accepted into a mythic+ or raid group though.
Surv and MM seem to be left in the dust when it comes to hunter specs, with the incredibly boring BM spec being miles ahead in performance.
As a melee you are up against some of the highest performing classes in the game. And shadowlands isn’t looking all that different. I hope I’m wrong, but even I’ve stepped away from my hunter.
Good luck though, I hope blizzard wakes up and realizes hunter has more than one spec someday.
