Aggrend says class tuning coming soon

Was just reading on twitter that some class tuning is coming soon in SPECIFIC reference to shamans. Just gotta sit tight and see what that means! Not sure if this link works but here it is!

Not gonna hold my breath, I’ll keep gearing this Reroll until I see changes.

As an Enh shaman player, they can fix most issues with Enh shaman by limiting weapon imbues to only having one of each type active at once. They should also get rid of the Spirit of the Alpha/Beta 20% AP buff. From there they can actually tune Shaman abilities accordingly to how they perform.

Removing double Rockbiter and Beta buff can significantly reduce PvP burst without dramatically lowering PvE damage too much. Shaman use WF/RB on their MH/OH for PvE as it is, so it would be a 20% AP reduction.

Way of the Earth is, unfortunately, one of the only means for Shamans to have any PvP survivability. I think they need to limit it to requiring a Shield, add a -10% damage done modifier to it, and then tack on a 50% mana cost reduction for Shock spells to keep it where Shamans need it for PvE tanking. Shield Mastery rune needs another 10-20% block chance added to it to keep up Enh Shaman mana regen for solo bosses/mobs as well.

With a Single Rockbiter without Alpha I’m sitting at just over 800 Attack Power. Now we can calculate this.

With new Rockbiter rank at 50 Shamans will have Roughly 900 AP with one RB Active…now we can add like an extra 200-300 maybe for the additional levels and new gear etc. So Shamans will realistically be sitting around 1100-1200 AP with one RB and no Alpha buff.

Now let’s add the +AP from the 100% Helm rune, I can realistically say an Enh Shaman might have around 130-140 Int at 50 with new gear etc. So now we are sitting at 1230-1340 AP give or take.

Now let’s calculate that Spell power gained from that with the Helm rune as well, 30% of 1340 is roughly 402 SPELL POWER on an Melee who can cast instant heals and Chain Lightnings…this will be absolutely absurd.

should also mention in that thread he said:

There are some class adjustments coming with the patch. To set expectations, when the next phase is close it’s unlikely we’ll do a ton of tuning. It’s just not a good use of development time to keep doing a bunch of class tuning when a new phase and a complete meta upheaval is imminent.

Sounds like they don’t REALLY plan on fixing it, so prepare to see shamans with 2k AP and 600 spellpower REAL SOON

Most classes have forms of hard CC, along with Ice Block, Divine Shield, Vanish, Dispersion, etc. Shamans do not have any hard CC or cooldowns to assist with being targeted. Decoy Totem is useful for slows/snares like Blessing of Freedom, but getting stunned by HoJ, Blackout, the new Deep Freeze/Poly, insert Rogue ability, Warrior charge/intercept/disarm, Intimidation, etc is a death sentence.

I said above as well even if they made is so you couldn’t double RB weapons and they removed the bonus AP from Alpha Shamans will still be sitting around 1300 AP at 50 in new gear with 400+ spell power as well…how is this a real class lol

This is easily fixed if Rockbiter isn’t taken into account for Mental Dexterity.

However, we REALLY need to see how every class performs at 50 with new runes that we haven’t seen before we start asking for Shaman to keep getting smashed into the dirt. I love my Shaman and don’t want to see it pummeled by kneejerk changes many forum posters are asking for.

If you can’t beat em, join em I always say. It’s really too much fun just running through people right now with no cooldowns needed.

Also every Alliance agrees, this is why Horde queues will get worse. Alliance population has dropped significantly in P2.

just delete shamans if they’re going to let them run around with that much power, my rogue is sitting at less than 500 ap in full gnomer bis and it’s just sad

My Hunter has like 497 in full BiS, it’s wild how much AP they get with RB.

I mean you had an entire phase pummeling every other class into the dirt, it’s perfectly reasonable for them to drop Shamans off a cliff at this point.

You’re either trolling or you don’t care about the game at all. Dropping classes off of cliffs for the sake of being vindictive is not healthy for the game.

Homie they did it to Ranged Hunter and Boomkins already. It’s just the way of SoD. They allow a class to run wild for a Phase then nerf them to the dirt.

Edit: Although Boomkin didn’t even get a phase LOL

Well ya lower skilled players need that dopamine hit that an op spec provides because it covers up how bad they are normally.
