Interesting. He is basically saying they are holding off on major class balancing until 60 and the new gear sets / runes that come with it.
It’s a time issue. Despite what the troglodytes on this forum think there’s a lot that goes into these level up phases, and there are not a lot of manpower hours to go around. 60 is a great time to go back and look at all the old runes, all the things just stuffed into the corner of the attic collecting dust, and rework them.
Aggrend used some phrasing when talking about there being a place for a fast attacking ret paladin, likening it to a zeal pally from D2. This is really exciting to see IMO, that game has incredible build craft and if they are taking inspiration from it for Classic, I think the future of the game is bright.
The last time this happened the community caused a forum mod/dev to straight up break down and quit.
Just look at every blue post and the comments, people want the devs to post so they can berate them incessantly.

I’ve felt this from day 1, the micro management and constant flux of changes/fixes after each phase with runes, skills etc, seems silly. I feel at 60 things may be a bit more flushed out, thats also why i havent gone full sweatlord, ill do my raidlogging, and thats it till i see the final part.

The STV currency change, same thing.

In that case, they should have a Blessed Hammer / Fist of the Heavens spec, basically a Holy caster DPS spec.
I’m not so much interested in them emulating specific builds from D2 as much as I’m hoping they create new avenues for the players to engage with buildcraft.
Im glad he posted in the paladin discord. But imagine if he posted on the Shaman discord, The paladins would have a meltdown lmfao and on the contrary us shamans are happy for yall

I’ll consider if i should renew my sub in 6-8 weeks then. I have no interest in playing a beta test that has thus far, offered less content I actually enjoy and reinforced playstyles I detest.
Who knows, maybe the loss of revenue will encourage them to reconsider thar, but I doubt it. I’m just one person.

This cant be an excuse if you are stop phases for months with level capped raids.
Glad to see the INSANE Ret Paladin crying worked out well for you all, grats. Now maybe they can look at Balance Druids, who have been bottom tier DPS for 3 phases and show no sign at all of improving in phase 4. I feel like I’m playing Vanilla again and am just some kind of forgotten meme spec still.

Constant negative criticism does not help. It was also my main reasoning for them not posting here as much as some would like.
Put piling on more abuse totally was the right call. The WoW player base had a hand in the outcome, deflecting blame to the victim doesn’t help you here.
