Age preference?

I am 30 and every year is such a learning experience that I can’t play with anyone more than a couple of years younger than me. Do you have an age preference for who you play with?

Age really ain’t anything but a number in this game. I’ve played alongside 13-14 year kids who had no trouble keeping it in their proverbial pants and were perfectly pleasant. On the flip side, I’ve played with people in their 40s who were sniveling, socially-retarded miscreants.

I don’t care how old people are. But if voice is required and they non stop talk, sing, have an open mic, etc. then I won’t play with them.

This. I’ve played with and become friends with plenty of 16 year Olds and 60 year Olds. I’m 25 myself. Age doesn’t matter in the world of Azeroth.

I am not sure how I would even know anyone’s age, unless they are in my guild and we are doing content together a lot… and age comes up.

Certainly not the first thing I would inquire about.

Got everything from folks in their early 20s to their late 50s in my regular groups.

A 50-something is usually our top damage.

Age doesn’t matter to me so much as mentality.

I typically won’t play with people who expect me to restrict my speech to accommodate themselves. I don’t talk about politics, religion, or my opinion on social issues. I just talk about the game or engage in general conversation. I’m not even a foul-mouthed person, but I’m 31 years old and I swear sometimes in discord. I’ve been “reprimanded” once for saying a mild curse word in a non-aggressive circumstance, and it quickly put me off staying in the guild.

Age never comes up in any of my conversations. I either like being around you, or I don’t.

I have met people younger than me I can pal around with. I have met people older than me I cant stand.

Whoever reprimanded you needs to hear our discord chat.

It’s fun but it can be horribly offensive at times. Folks in my guild have no filter and are very hard to make angry so they say some crazy stuff sometimes. lol

I play mostly with a close friend and my wife. I’v found that most people that play (regardless of age) are not what I could call the most socially adept of people. Besides the odd raid, I don’t speak unless its to talk to the other tank, which is kept to the bare minimum.

As someone who is 80 years old in spirit, I would not like playing with young people. But the subject of age never comes up in game for it to be an issue either way.

I’m probably right around the average age for my guild. We’ve got some in their sixties and our offtank is 17. I don’t think there’s been any real disconnect between us and we all seem to get along quite well. That said, There is only a window of about 10 years in either direction for people to understand my jokes about 80s cartoons.

I used to raid with a 7 year old kid. He worked just as hard as the rest of our team did, and played well.

Typically I end up playing with people who are anywhere from their early 20s to mid-50s, which range I am comfortably in the middle of in my early 30s.

Nope.

Idc who I play with, as long as they’re not toxic or immature.

The only issue you have with younger players is what you say while they’re in a group with you. But honestly the majority of wow are 20s and above so no worries.

I don’t really care to play with anyone under 18.

As the saying goes, experience makes you wise, not old age :stuck_out_tongue:

I like everyone. I like to play with people who like everyone too. But people who become picky and hate on others in a “non-joking” serious way, well I still like you but I really don’t want to hang out with you. Call me when your chill again.

Never even considered it
