As a casual player, you finally got a chance to have the bear appearance that you missed years ago.
I don’t really care others claiming this is easy or hard. I don’t have time to do that for hundreds attempts. To me it is a mythic one, and i need the LFR one.
My conclusion is that, if i don’t get the bear within the opening period, i will never resub again for this game. Don’t ever think that the player not completing will resub after 6 month to do it again.
You’re not the only one hurting from this… I’m sure if you scout the whole GD forum these posts are everywhere, and with the new Broken “Nerf” to it, it just makes it harder. So until Blizzard hears the pop of their head, i don’t think you will get it this go. But if you continue to try. Good Luck! May the Force be with you!
So just curious, if the mage tower never came around, and there were no chances at getting the skins, would you still be here claiming you’re quitting in a week?
Seems kind of a shallow reason to me. Would you quit if a mount you want doesn’t drop? It’s just a cosmetic.
The MT is not for casuals looking for easy loot, neither are its rewards. Just like back in Legion you’re going to have to earn it. Only difference now is you can’t wait till the end of the expansion and over gear it.
If you don’t have time then that’s sort of on you, you just won’t get the form. But it’s not a necessity.
You didn’t miss the “fel werebear” years ago as this color variant of it is brand new and just released. You did miss the other colors of it tho.
I think some of these challenges are overly hard for sure; Not impossible though, as someone (or maybe several someones at this point) has completed all of them already. I’ve only completed the MM hunter one so far but my goal is to complete all 7 bosses for the book mount it gives. I’m not sure I’ll make it before the two weeks is up. I do wish it was permanent or more frequent.
However, I’d say quitting because you can’t complete the challenge boss for this one color variant for one spec of one class is a bit obtuse. Do you quit everything if you aren’t given the rewards easily?
of all the things to quit over. there are thousands of things i cannot obtain. oh darn, putting up with being one shotted isn't high on my list of missing out
Already getting nerfed bud. If you can’t do it after that, figure it out. Not everything has to be handed to you. It has zero impact on player power, so you 100% do not need it any way shape or form. If this is the thing that ends it for you… perhaps you were done with this game a long time ago.
There is feral and guardian druids who literally came back to the game after legion who have claimed to be quitting after seeing the magetower forms people like that exist, quite many.
Nobody gave you any hope. You brought your own naivety to the table.
The advertisement wasn’t “Mage Tower but noobishly easy.” The advertisement was “The really tough challenge that everybody missed from Legion has returned.”
If you don’t like that, Blizzard doesn’t lose much by losing an unreasonable customer. And I mean no disrespect when I say that, but it’s true. There are a lot of things to be frustrated or upset about right now, and you chose the one thing that’s honestly ridiculous.
You got plenty substitutions for a mount. You know it’s a rare drop or mythic raid before you grind it. This manages your expectation before you do the content.
The time period for most mounts are not “2weeks per half year”.
Just like blizz told us, the bear model is unique, if we have missed that in legion, we have no chance to get that, and this is the reason why they bring the bear model back. From PTR, it was expected that mostly everyone could have that.
It was released, and i don’t think i could ever get that with current difficulty.
I am complaining for Blizz gave us hope and took that away
People would quit over a mount they really wanted if it was removed. Like the brutosaur. For some people it was probably the last straw.
Just because you wouldn’t quit over something doesn’t mean somebody else wouldn’t consider it worth quitting over. In fact, telling someone they are shallow and their feelings are not legitimate is not likely to increase their chance of staying. Why do you think it should be otherwise?
The differences now is that Blizzard used this as a marketing technique to get people to resub to try to get the new rewards. They didn’t say “if you’re in the top 2%”. It’s a timewalking event, and people who assumed that what was on the PTR is what was going to be implemented now legitimately feel betrayed that it was made much harder. And now it’s turning into a gear grab, so people on the right servers who have enough gold are the ones who can get it.
Nor is playing the game at all a necessity. I’d guess a lot of people who paid to resub only to do this event have already quit. So har-har-har?
