After years siding with nvidia

Now WoW is adding new features with the new AMD RX 6000 series.

With the new Nvidia RTX coming out and the new AMD RX cards, is this going to sway you with your next upgrade?

Okay

  1. Why is Frank looking into my soul, is that an AMD only feature.
  2. Not tanking in the consecrate on that first comparison clip. Thats a paddlin’
  3. I couldn’t see a massive amount of difference except on the ray traced shadows option, perhaps I’m blind, or stupid, or both.

No Moob these are very minimal changes/differences you’re neither.

Pfft, no. What year does AMD think this is? using WoW as a selling point for their new GPU. Hahaha. I like AMD but come on.

I know that they haven’t released yet but rumors are AMD is going to blow Nvidia away this time around. However, I don’t see a reason to upgrade from last generation. I have an RTX 2060. Does great for WoW

I look forward to the reviews

If they have something better than the 3080 for less than the 3080 I’ll go with that of course I have no allegiance to brands

Pretty much this

I don’t think these are exclusive AMD features.

I didn’t see anything in that video that would make me raise one eyebrow let alone get hyped enough to change my puny Nvidia 1070.

Ahhh, I wouldn’t call that puny. Still a good card. Only couple generations back. The new changes are very minimal for WoW

‘Hey we’ve developed this new card that will never be fully utilized for the next ten years, how should we market this thing?’

“That sixteen year-old game, World of Warcraft, is releasing a new expansion.”

‘Sold!’

the comedy of big navi taking the wind out of nvidia’s 30 series sail is that nvidia has to quickly respond, which should lead to some great consumer deals in the coming months.

If we get the 2070 super for under $400 and the 2060 super for around $300, that would be just great.

I laughed, agreed.

I already ordered an RTX 3080. I don’t expect to upgrade again for a while.

Shoot my video card works just fine so don’t see myself upgrading it until it breaks or no longer functions as needed.

AMD’s drivers are so bad. I will never go back to them.

I must say, I absolutely agree. My first PC build had a ATI card before they made the switch. the drivers were awful

Only good thing I have to say about Radeon is…they have great RMA support.

As the few i have owned spent lots of time in the mail…lots of time. Why I am a Nvidia fan boy. when the radeon was in the mail…there was the old Nvidia to tide me over till something came back.

And driver hell…the maw has nothing on that.

Did you properly uninstall old drivers? Oh I did better. I reinstalled the whole OS. M$ patches, drivers then game. still had issues…

If AMD actually puts some devices into the supply chain I’ll switch in a minute.

It’s clear Nvidia has artificially held down the numbers of 30x series, because its dealers are stuck with piles of 20x series. That they haven’t discounted existing 20x stock to move it further backs this up.

AMD, I hear you calling - give me something to buy!
