Would it be just a mage/warlock that shoots red spells? probably. But still, we need a bloodmage that specializes ONLY in siphoning off life from enemies to bolster themselves. Probably even just take warlocks drain life and give it to this new class. There is even a blood mage IN GAME in the burning steppes.

Ya… it was a cheap shot I took. But as a hunter I know I always have to take the shot when it presents.
Use our own HP pool as a resource to buff/do damage then siphon back from our enemies!
The closest we have is Blood DK, but a Blood Mage would be so awesome OP.
You know what? Take it. Just take it. If it means getting a bloodmage class, I will happily make this sacrifice.
It’s a cool concept but it would either be brokenly OP or completely garbage. It’s hard to balance life steal.

I’m talking about long term. and you’re right whenever Blood DK is good It’s really, really good. Not that I hate the idea I just don’t think it’ll happen again. Especially as a dps class. If Blood DK ended up being the other dps for DK it’d probably be one of the most broken specs in the game on a regular basis. Moreso than it is as a tank.
Demon hunter needs another spec.
