After the “Last Titan” “WOW II”

Just start fresh with a brand-new game and a new expansion and call it “WOW II” nothing more. Only difference WOW II is able to run across all platforms not just PC, that’s your challenge. Diablo 2 was a PC game whereas Diablo 3 and Diablo 4 can run across all platforms.

The “last titan” is suppose to seal the deal on wow story wise or so a I read. This doesn’t mean it’s over, but rather can open the door for “WOW II” make it happen.

WoW II made in Unreal Engine 5 and runs like crap…because new programmers can’t learn more then one engine these days…

you do know that they would have to pay epic games to use that engine or anyone else if they used their engine

They already have a proven model in Diablo 3 and Diablo 4. So, yeah they are more than capable to make WOW II across all platforms.

They pay a percent per sale yes. But if you look most studios are switching engines because it is what the kids have been taught and they don’t seem to be able to learn new engines after college…

WoW II is never going to happen.

Stop it.

  • How do you suggest they incorporate the existing game into the new one?
  • New games have a long development time. They would need to be working on it already.
  • Who is going to play the new game? The MMO market has shrunk dramatically in the last decade.

According to Metzen, only the current story arc. There will be more after that.

Different, much simpler game.

How about an arpg set in the warcraft universe.

It wouldn’t survive.

Wouldn’t be made by the same devs that made the original.

And nobody seems to know how to make a good MMORPG anymore, otherwise there’d be more competitors.

Take a page out of elder scrolls lore and none of the characters you play are dead. Seeing how most attain immortality in their own right so you hear about them in other games in passing. Except for the oblivion player character, he mantles a Deadric prince and becomes him.

I wouldn’t play it. I’d just quit.

I would play a wow game set in a unreal5 engine. My computer could handle it. Especially once i upgrade to a 5090. As for those who couldnt they probably have bigger problems than playing a video game anyway.

It probably wont happen though. They have milked this franchise to death. Its not even a smart business move.

Why open that door when they can just stay in the current room?

Main reason they won’t do that is because they want as much people they can to play. This is what made wow popular in the first place. It was less intensive, hardware wise, than EverQuest at the time. Had a certain art style that helped it and it was vastly easier than EverQuest.

All those things made the game a huge hit.

That’s the lamest flex I’ve seen here in a long time. :joy:

There won’t be a WoW 2, Metzen already said they’re planning WoW as far out as 17.0 in an interview he did last year.

WOW 2 would be a huge mistake because if they didn’t carry over the entirety of WoW’s collections, a lot of people would take that as the sign to stop playing and move on. No on wants to start over after 20+ years.

Just weird that 5090s aren’t even that huge of a leap. I mean a huge leap in size wise. That thing is a legit brick
