After testing covenants on beta

Every combination will be able to do Normal and Heroic Raids. Every combination will be able to do +15 Keys. The only time where combinations will matter is Mythic Raiding and +16 Keys, which is totally fine.

You want to push the infinite treadmill or spends hours in Mythic, min/max your guts out. But to insinuate that casuals will struggle in basic content because of their choices is a lie.

WoW is designed to be easy for its older player base.

Just seeing the complaint for what it is.

Oh the off tank is out tonight… let’s pool funds for _____ to go respec. You have a screencap of your prot bars right? No… OK folks see y’all in 30

No you’re insulting other players for wanting to enjoy the game. Please be respectful.

So someone who’s casual and pushes keys and does PvP doesn’t exist… right… please don’t call others liars it’s rude.

This does not mean that every combination will be fun. Swapping specs and all of a sudden having an ability that feels useless is not fun

You mean that 80 something percent of people are going Arden for the teleport for mythic plus? That its going to be one of those “OMG WE ARE TRYING TO TIME THIS KEY WE ARE ONLY TAKING ARDENWEALD COVENANTS!” things?

Can’t play what you want nowadays due to this excrement.

I took a step further. Part of the no cloak/corruption club. :+1:

But yes BlizZard has designed a game at this point that plays you rather you play the game. :grimacing:

Exactly !!! there was big impact to your game-play

It made you think several times on which trait you picked
Which class you want to play?
What weapon’s skill level are you going to raise? .

The game punished you for not doing your research and thats why ppl where pissed off . But instead of going back to the drawing board and figuring out stuff they decided to whine up to Blizzard who caved in .

That’s not fun for me sorry. That’s just dumb. Making a system that’s hard to use then punishing people for not doing external research is just punishing casuals or people that don’t fully understand a class the way a theorycrafter does.

More like my push group will be forced to sit down and map out who’s going which covenant so that we have one of each so we’re not gimped in some dungeons lol.

Demandz, we need a Venthyr for the 20% dmg boost in this dungeon, we know you hate the playstyle and aesthetic of venthyr, but it’s too big to lose out on…

Uhhhhhhhhhh no??? It made me say oh god I’m not going to be able to change this, let me go look up a guide so I don’t choose wrong. No experimentation, just went with what was best because the opportunity cost was way too high. Never got to test out any odd builds, or cool builds that weren’t the best

I’m calling out other players for wanting the game to bend around them.

Most people don’t go past +15’s. A small, minority of people do Mythic raiding and +20 Keys. Saying that casuals won’t be able to do end game content with what they choose is a blatant lie.

Then swap Covenants. It’s not hard. It’s not difficult. All progression is saved. There’s literally nothing stopping people from swapping Covenants outside of time.

Tell that to my friends? We’re definitely casual we don’t do mythic raids and we push past 15s. You’re saying we don’t exist, please stop insulting me.

Never said that. Offense is taken, never given.

Yesss, you are now informed on what works and what doesn’t

Knowledge needs to be passed over not dug up every time. I am not telling you to be a theorycrafter . I am just saying you are going to be more cautious in your decision making and not go Yolo.

You said exactly that, you said it was a blatant lie. So you insulted me directly by calling me a public liar. You’ve insulted me by telling me my play style is invalid. You’ve insulted me by saying that your actions weren’t intentional even though calling someone a liar is inherently an offensive action.

Ion has said that it will be a major time investment to swap back to a covenant. You may find grinding fun, but I’m playing a video game. I don’t want to spend weeks wasting my time grinding so I can test a different spec in a dungeon or so I can have fun in my off spec.

You are lying.

What playstyle? All you said was that you were a casual that pushes keys. Okay? You can do that with any combination of covenants and classes, up until +16, where min/maxing starts really taking over.

It’s a statement. You are lying. Feeling offense for being called a liar is on you.

You’re playing an RPG. It’s nothing but time grinding. If you can’t handle time gating, you’re playing the wrong genre.

Raid Shadowlegends seems to be quite popular these days.

So odd this game managed to be so popular for 16 years without arbitrarily locking players into abilities, but now they have I’m playing the wrong game because I don’t like it? Please name one time where they’ve gated the different playstyles of a spec behind massive grind. I’ll wait

No that’s not what will happen.

People will just look up what’s best and that it. When classic came out, how many people played mage? Tons, because it was simply the best.

I’m not sure if you’re trolling or genuinely serious. If you’re serious I’m so sorry you live your whole life like that :frowning:

Guys just stop arguing, this poster is the arbiter of what is and isnt an RPG. Its an official title they get to decide.

Heads up op, there is a beta forum to post feedback.

There was a gold cap every time you swapped specs that increased exponentially until Blizzard removed it during either Wrath or Cata.

There was also the old Talent Trees where certain abilities were locked into particular trees and players had to commit to those trees in order to get to that ability. There used to be a gold cap to reset those points.

I’m sorry, who’s trying to change the game to their whims again? It’s not me.

Because there aren’t massive numbers left to quit. What could happen very easily though is there won’t be the typical bump. BFA’s bump was much smaller than legions Slands could be smaller yet.
