I had tons of fun with SoD, but I don’t think I would at this point. Classic+ or bust.
I will play sod until Balnazzar drops a Shadowlands classic boost.

There’s too many versions of WoW as it is, if “Classic+” is going to be a thing then it needs to be a permanent pillar that we can count on to exist and be supported, not that SoD was “Short lived” or anything, 2 years is quite awhile.
But I don’t want to keep leveling at classic pace over and over again forever unless I’m choosing to play Hardcore. I want there to be something to actually work toward that people will still be playing if I take a break for a couple months.

Blizzard (aka microsoft) is starting to overmilk their cow I think. Bit too many “visions” too bad that they love to throw a good momentum into the trashcan when they make bad decisions out of nowhere.

Aren’t they all seasonal to a degree? 19 classic become current era but SoD is getting era’d. TBC had phases and ended. Wrath did too. Cata. Now we’re on MoP and that will also end some day.
Does everyone always take everything so literally? Like it has to have the word “season” in it for you to understand it will have an ending?
I see what youre trying to say but there’s a difference between something being permanent and having phases or expacs and something being a temporary pop-up seasonal server.
SoD is the best version of wow, not because it is seasonal but rather in spite of it.
Ideally Classic+ would have seasons or phases to it but be permanent in nature.
As much as I love SoD… i will never do another seasonal server. Too much stress and drama over temporary

What you mean by “classic+”? SoD also can be considered as classic+, because it has everything rebalanced, and some completely new content. At what point new “season” (whatever it’s called) becomes “classic+”, and at what point it’s just new “season”?

Within 1 level cap this is impossible. More then 6-7 tiers within 1 level cap will be insane power creep, and also very hard to catch up for new players.

I’m only here because SoD was touted as the foundation for “Classic plus”. I had figured they move us over to there at the end. But they had also stated SoD wouldn’t be like SoM; you dumped onto Era (or I guess Wrath??).
…I don’t do seasonal games because I dislike wasting my time.
It wasnt supported for 2 years.
I thought I would play another seasonal server unless there is something totally, totally new added (or stolen from pservers. LOL).
Normally I would say… I would only play if they promised to spend actual time in balancing, tweaks. They did well in SOD and got the hooks in us before jumping ship. lol

Good news, there’s a game for you, it’s called “retail”.
The next one should be “Season of Classic Andys” or “Season of Stuff in Nostalgia”
“Frequent”. Sir (and/or Ma’am), you are implying that I do not live here. And I take offense to that implication that I have a life outside of this 24" rectangular box.
But, joking aside. I consider anything where my progress (read: Time-spent) is lost to be a ‘waste of time’.

I do agree that I wish they would let us keep our SoD stuff for Xmog, mounts, toys and particularly my Khonsu glasses! It also sucks that there are no achievements. I wish they would transition achievements to your Blizzard account instead of game specific like… every other gaming platform…
