I hope we come out to a unified Azeroth where everyone gets along. That way we can start to colonize other worlds.
Finally Gnomes will have rid Azeroth of all other races. Then and only then will we be able to “play” the game.

They’ve hinted at being in the Shadowlands has a complete different length of time. There is quite a good chance we come back to Azeroth completely different, possibly years and years late to saving it from something
Or it’s totally updated and we’re now in a dystopian Future where we no longer use swords and other ancient weaponry, but blasters and lasers have become the norm.
Ah blizzard you should have kept to the plan and made overwatch an mmo.
The Murlocs will be the sole surviving populace on azeroth when we return from the shadowlands and we will have to help them win the war against the scourge.

We can establish the Federation of planets and go on a five year mission.
After shadowlands will probably be something to do with the void.

Better idea. Peacecraft, game ends, no more expansions. Blizzard redirects their resources to a new platform. Servers continue to merge together into one massive server as subscriptions dwindle.
I want a vacation expansion. Let me build sand castles, fight water elementals, and collect beach tmog. I also want player housing so I can trick out my seaside bungalow.
Canonically everything in WoW has happened in 8 years. EIGHT. We need a freaking break from existence-ending threats. I’ll be grumpy if we jump from Shadowlands straight into the Void War or whatever.

I can guarantee whatever comes after Shadowlands will have Xal’atath playing a major role throughout the expansion. I think chances are high it might be void lords up next, which is bland for me, but follows the general course of action.
Whatever it is, I’m not getting any younger. It’ll have to be good.
If any sort of time goes by I’d like to see Stonewrought Damn fixed when we come out.
After Shadowlands, I just want a new place to explore with no direct story. Just an addition to the world that isn’t us fighting a big bad again, going to war again, saving the world again, and so on.
I would like it if we just told our leaders should they say…
“Champions of the Alliance/Horde…” and we interrupt them with something like
“Hold it right there. Let me guess, you need us to come help save the world or something again right? Well (Insert swear here) off. We are taking our vacation now”
Leader of Alliance/Horde “But without you we all will die!”
Player “Nope, your on your own.”
I don’t know, just want to be able to not be the “champion, hero, savior, guardian” of Azeroth anymore. Just want to be a Warrior who helps among many others to help, and not be the hero like everyone else for a change.

Shadowlands will flop so hard there will be no more expansions
Time doesn’t go faster in the Shadowlands so we will come back to good old Azeroth with good old Stormwind and Orgrimmar and orcs and humans and elves and dwarves fighting each other
This isn’t sarcasm, there is no time difference in Shadowlands than on Azeroth.
So, instead of Warhammer Fantasy we’d be 40K?
