Please, please, PLEASE have your team do a movie or tv show. The cinematics are consistently one of the top notch products they put out.

As Titanspite mentioned, Hurricane made it for them. I agree it’s awesome! Wish the game looked like that! It’s more detailed, but still WoW art style.

There was a movie, it was called Warcraft… The non-Warcraft mainstream audience didn’t understand or like it, so it was considered a failure, so no new movies to TV shows will be attempted by Activision/Blizzard.

When I watched it, everything felt sped up… Nothing had complete draw to it and the scenes with the lich king weren’t really impactful. Sorry im a critic >,>

It’s nice but seems to be made with Wrath era capabilities so is kinda meh in that regard.

Sadly they release that movie during WOD when WOW was at a low point. On top of that the movie itself took place pre Warcraft 3 when the lore was sorta meh.

WoW hasn’t exactly risen since then either. Its lower than during that phase these days.
They have to establish the world and characters, so pre-Warcraft 3 lore was needed. If you jumped into WoW lore right away then the mainstream people wouldn’t have any idea of what was going on

I believe an anime style adaptation kinda like castlevania/edgerunners is a very popular idea internally. I’d kill for Arthas to have his story told through that medium.
Sadly, the dev teams don’t make that call.
Depends, I don’t think it would be neccessary to show the first and second wars before diving into Arthas’ shenanigans. But if you do Thrall later it might be better used there.
As long as they do a better job than the Rings of Power team.

Oh god yes! As a fan of Christie Golden’s “Arthas” novel, I’d LOVE to see that adapted into a Warcraft movie.
They should hire him
