After alt leveling in northrend this weekend..BFA feels like poop

The zones feel amazing, the music (i usually play with it off) was so soothing! The story was great and man running through grizzly hills was beautiful. I hope shadowlands can be something like this.

I always pick Outland over Northernd, I don’t know, there are just so many condensed quests in outland that you can grab and finish in one go, and I love it. But in Northrend one quest is here, another one is a mile away, then the third one is in another zone, no no no, no thanks.

I love northrend. Most beautiful relaxing zones. But then I also love the winter theme a lot so there’s some bias.

As someone that really got into WoW in TBC I do appreciate the leveling there, but… I do think the team hit it out of the park in WotLK with the questing experience.

Wrath has some of my favorite zones in it. Grizzly Hills has been my favorite zone since it come out.

Grizzly Hills , Felwood , Winterspring , Icecrown , Nagrand and Zangarmarsh Are my favorite zones to lvl up :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

The leveling experience drastically improves the higher you go in the expansions but it also helps as flying unlocks.

I’ve been in Northrend this week as well. The quests are fun, and the architecture is amazing.

I think you mixed up your expansions.

Outland has quests all over the map.

What? No, I’m 99% sure outland has lots of 8+ quests in one spot.

I am in there right now with my Spriest and I literally need to go from Honor Hold to north of Thrallmar to do two quests, then to do 2 other ones I have 2 spread way apart in the south of Honor Hold from East to West, unrelated to the place to cash them in.

I just finished the quest in the mine and I had to go in and kill 12 demon cucks and then once I handed it back in he sent me all the way back to the bottom of the same mine to kill a named.

If playing something that’s put together better is going to make you critical of the current stuff, don’t play FF XIV.

It’s kind of depressing really. They have all this material to work with, but (relative to other games I’ve seen) WoW has been a pretty minimal product. There are some exceptions, but overall it just seems very stripped down.

Hopefully Shadowlands will be better, and maybe since they are running all the expansions in parallel, they will get some reworks too.

Are you there as horde or alliance? Because I have no idea what it’s like for alliance but it’s amazing to be in outland as horde.

You might be very well be right about outland from alliance player’s perspective, who knows. Quests might be all over the place for alliance in outland, but I assure you that’s not the case for horde.

BFA leveling has some amazing stories too, don’t hate on BFA just for the sake of it.

Obviously a matter of opinion, but I disagree.

The alliance zones in BFA were far superior in art, music, and overall story line to pretty much any previous expansion.

Also, They made the zones in Wraith overly large to allow early flying.

If we are gonna crap on BFA, lets stay focused on the systems…which is where the x-pack really failed us.

Ugh… no thanks. I am glad Chromie TIme is becoming a thing because Northrend is always the “Marathon in the Middle” to me. Once I get to Borean Tundra everything slows down drastically for me. I have done Borean and Dragonblight more times than I have wanted to. It’s seriously my biggest hurdle whenever I level a new alt because that is around when I lose my drive.

I am not saying Northrend is bad, I just… I need a break from Northrend when leveling.

Yes, but TBH, comparing Grizzly Hills to any other zone will never be a fair comparison.

Northrend and Pandaria are my two favorite places to level. I suspect they will be the only expansions I ever choose to level an alt in. The music and scenery, those big wide open spaces, and I love flying along the northern coast in Storm’s Peaks and looking at all the Titan buildings in the cliffs…that place is outstanding. They really don’t make’em like they used to.

I cant stand levelling in wrath content
I hate the quests with a burning passion

BFA questing is so much more fun and the alliance story was incredible.

With the new levelling experience I never have to go back to there and I am so so glad

I’ve played Outland as both factions, as I am sure many have. To get Loremaster in Outland I had to use 2 quest tracking addons and a website, which I forget if it was icy veins or wowhead, to analyze what quests I was missing. To each their own but I will choose Wrath or MoP in the future
