They ban for this, a lot. They ban for this more than bots or anything else.
I suggest you don’t AFK in BGs.

But honestly don’t do it, I got banned for 3 days in tbc for afking in 2 AVs. I was at 73,000 honor, just trying to cap to 75,000. Got banned and they stripped me of all my honor, not just the 2k I tried to farm. So I’m assuming they would remove your total weekly earned honor.

They overhauled the ranking system. It’s easy to get R14 now.

There is a different honor system this time around, no decay and flat honor requirements for R14 as well as milestones you can’t drop below once you hit them.
Yeah like others said, can’t even compare it to before. It’s still a time investment but not even close to what it used to be. Ideal ranking needs 500,000 for 2 resets and that ain’t nothing.
Ah ok well then disregard my post. I just came back to the game and havent played since 2018.
Knowing its easier now is kind of lame, but I guess everything is easier now so why am I surprised.

The only big difference is its a few weeks shorter than the old grind and you don’t have to participate in the toxic ranking gatekeeping that went on before. You still have to pvp for hundreds of hours

You’re a few years behind buddy. They overhauled the ranking system. Alts on SOD have r14 and I’m pretty sure that’s the honor system in place now too.
So yes. Ignoring the fact people will get banned, you can actually afk to r14.

You should just delete this. Every internet hero from 1997 to 2026 is going to reply and tell you how wrong you are before they read your follow up replies to the heroes who already did.
