Yeah, for sure don’t report those people.
But if you see something that looks automated; report it right away.

Fair enough. that makes sense. I was just thinking out loud maybe because of your hashtags
Make no mistake, Blizzard is contradictory when it comes to multiboxing and their TOS.
Multiboxing is cheating; just a Blizzard-approved form of it.
It should be disallowed, as it is a form of pay-to-win.

Fair enough. Not my opinion. (I don’t think something can be cheating and allowed in the rules. Nor do I feel like MBing is a big enough thing to feel a hard opinion on it other than let people do their thing) But your opinion is no less valid than mine. I’m all for polite discourse on the idea.
Thats literally the dumbest statement in this thread LOL.
Its not cheating if the rule maker allows it
you’d think that’d be a spam vacation.
One of us does that with the official bliz statement link and WE get suspended.
Multiboxing is fine.
Exloiting hyperspawns for hours is not and should be fixed or w/e. Doesn’t matter if it’s a bot or a multiboxer abusing the hyperspawn. It’s wrong and should be removed.
Reported them last week, they’re still there. Not working chief.
I’ve heard this before, but one thing I haven’t been able to get clarified… Why is it wrong?
You should not have an unlimited faucet of mobs spawn to loot from. There should be downtime when killing things. Otherwise it scales too much and this is why it is abused now and everyone is multiboxing or botting it. (2x4 groups in LFG)
Could be that they aren’t bots and are just boxxers, or (just as likely) Blizzard hasn’t done a ban wave in the last week. They wait and do a large number of bot bans all at once.
I’ve never cared enough to google how legit multinoxers work. Do you mind explaining briefly?
Okay, but why? Why does there need to be downtime. Especially if, as you say, everyone can benefit from it if they want.
If you want to see these multiboxing boomkins for yourselves, just turn off warmode and go east of Dazar’Alor by the first lake, 5-6 boomkins spread in such a way to cover all the spawns casting the same spells in a sequence. They’re there in the morning all the way to night. Not cheating btw haha totally
Shrug emoji I don’t care either way. I was just commenting on why these still could be there. Bots are annoying but nothing I get to worked up over and boxxers are absolutely okay in my opinion because no one has been able to explain why they are bad.
Because it was not the intented use of hyperspawn. It’s supposed to help people finish their quests/world quest. Not for someone to park themselves with 7 others in a party and collect infinite gold from vendor trash.
Can we say for sure. I mean, it can be done and it seems Blizzard have given the okay for it to be done. So… I would argue that it is an intended use according to the game creator. At least on an implied level, yea?
Edit: I mean, really, it’s no more cheap then just selling gold tokens, imo.
We have explained why its bad for years, they ruin economies and stand out like a sore thumb in gameplay among a list of million other reasons. People pretend they’re ok with it is because Blizzard rakes in extra sub money, nothing more to it.
Blizzard has been nerfing hyperspawn loots since legion. Sometimes removing the cloth drops and loot altogether in different spawn locations. Obviously they haven’t cleaned up all the farming spots because the tech is there to help with world quests.
All i’m saying is I consider this borderline exploiting a game mechanic. Even if the game allows to do something, it can still be considered an exploit.
Except, I don’t see how it ruins economies. I’ve only seen/heard people talk about it lowers AH prices. Which, imo, is a strict win. The game isn’t/nor has ever been immersive enough that boxxers sitting around doesn’t really ruin anything. And I don’t make money off Blizzard so why do I care if they get more money off of it.
Could it be that someone who doesn’t see an issue with boxxers may just…not see a problem with boxxers?
