AFK in bgs is getting way out of hand

If both sides have the same queues, they’ll play horde for racials. We’ve already talked about it, there is already a few rolling horde right now for racials getting boosted in SP. If they open up merc mode, literally all this work for our alliance side characters is pointless for TBC, just wait till wrath.

Humans have the best racial in the game for PvP…

No one is defending AFKers and no one cares about the “Victory Royale” fortnite kids on Horde screeching about BG queues except for the Horde kids screeching.

Show me proof of your allegations of cata and mop then? From my experience in those expansions, Cata was extremely alliance heavy (seemed healthy anyways) and MoP was definitely horde.

It’s pure idiocy to not provide actual evidence then claim disregarding said non-provided evidence is trolling, idiocy, selfishness, or favoritism.

Thats a bit of a stretch. Perception is super good in S1 for openers, but as more resil piles on, openers get less important. Also completely useless against nonstealth teams.

WotF / Hardiness are much better throughout.

Will only feel pointless to you for going gnome

It will feel pointless for everyone outside rogues / druids / hunters.

I would “Reroll” alliance like they all asked if alliance actually pvped.

I tried and after some thinking I came to the realization that oh yea alliance don’t pvp.

A week later here we are a thread that’s all about alliance AFKing.

No point to wow anymore as a casual pvper.

I play both sides but wanted Horde because hey it’s what I played back then. So classic is supposed to be about nostalgia right?

Ah so you can outright say it isn’t true but, I need to provide it is true. Yet you can make all the claims you wish and disregard everything factual because it undermines your opinion. Am I going to waste hours sifting through data to prove my point? No. I do that enough in my current job. Are my points more valid than yours? Absolutely. Why? Because it’s been proven to be the case throughout the games history if you’ve actually played the game. One faction dominating another because of the community/meta.

So nothing new then? People were saying the same thing in Pre Patch BGs. “Blizzard mah AFK players. Honor is horrible! Unnerf! Double it! Mah Epics!” Just as we had threads during Classic. “Blizzard do something about these AFK players and honor bots!”

People will afk. Report them and move on. You can’t really fix a people problem. The issue is people are awful, plain and simple. They value the rewards more than they value the activity so they AFK for that alone. Yeah it sucks you suffer when you want to genuinely enjoy the activity. But all you can really do is report them and let Blizzard handle them. Sadly a corporation can’t do much to fix an awful human being problem until it’s put on the table in front of them.

You can though through systems that prevent bad behavior. It is why most governments have judicial systems and most games have features to combat toxic / bad behavior.

You realize those judicial systems are after a person is caught in the act right? There was a nice big wave of players on here complaining about being banned for the AFKing of their account in BGs just days before TBC release. And occasional threads pop up now and then. Until you report it, you have no evidence for them to be punished. What are you? Time Cop?

That’s why you apply debuffs/flags on players for these actions. Either by decreasing the time that a flagged player is kicked out or doing something as simple as applying a debuff in the Alliance vs. Horde starting cave that will kick you out of the BG after 30seconds of sitting in there. Plenty of proactive solutions.

I suppose that may have been a bad example. This might be better. Dude is being a big jerk at a bar try to start a fight, other dudes punch him in the face to stop him from being a big jerk.

Players can fix other players from being bad people. Just ignoring the problem isn’t a real good solution.

Oh, ok then.

Every post of yours is as if your opinions are facts. My opinion is just that. An opinion. You keep trying to defend against it, but every single person playing the game knows it’s a relatable one that’s a current problem.

Queues are bad. Need bandaid. So excuse me for once asking you to back up your factual opinion.

Oh they can? Tell me how people mass reporting people for chat or temp bans have worked out for some folks. People policing the people doesn’t work.

The problem is that your only conclusion thus far is to open up the BGs to Merc/Same faction. This doesn’t solve the core problem and it should be rejected.

Oh you mean like a player being mass reported by a guild to incur a temporary ban/silence because of mob rule? Yeah that has never been proven to be flawed at all.

People policing people is often better than police policing people. Ever see the headlines in the US?

Blizzard doesn’t care about you really so I’d rather let the community police than an afk company who staffs 2 people to look over reports paying them 5 dollars an hour and a free coke from the cafe.

One way faction changes ( and this one doesn’t destroy all incentives to play alliance) and the only one I truly support.
