Joined an AV and 10+ players are afk in the GY getting farmed by horde. There really needs to be a better system to kick these players out of the bg. It really isn’t enjoyable and only promotes more afk’ing cause there isn’t much of a chance at all to win vs 40 active players.
Some games people are ending 0-10 KD with 0 / 0 dmg and healing. This is a massive issue and reporting for bans doesn’t work. We need an idle system to kick these players out quickly.
Part of the problem is that they have an instant queue so they dont care.
Two solutions that would fix it:
Same faction BGs
Mercenary Mode
Pvp system needs some work for sure.
Premades should not face pug groups….
Agree with that, however even if something is implemented alliance players can manipulate it by queueing at the same time since they have instant queues
These solutions suck and promote the massive issue we see on retail: alliance faction completely abandoned.
Stop advocating bad solutions. Free horde to alliance xfers are the only fix to that.
You can write some randomization into q . After the button is click add a random delay before the person is put in q.

They aren’t afk, they are intentionally losing, because it’s faster honor per hour for them.
It isn’t untrue. You haven’t done your research. Alliance has 1/3rd of the population for moderate to high-end raiding / arena.
I play on alliance now. My teammates quit, I could not find an arena team above 2.2k to play with for two weeks before ultimately giving up and playing horde again. My buddies guild, last good raiding guild on alliance for US, just xferred horde because they can’t recruit. Look at the top 100 guilds for raiding, they are 99% horde. You don’t know what you are tlaking about.
It literally isn’t faster honor. You don’t know what you are saying. Capping ibgy / tp / ibt / galv is more honor than a 40 minute turtle.
Report them. They have actually been banning people.
Sorry but they are NEVER going to add a mercenary mode - ONLY horde are asking for this, ONLY horde would benefit from this, and there would be literally no point to roll alliance at that point. Maybe next time when its known a certain faction is completely dominant, bite the bullet and roll the opposite.
So only for super tryhards they need to go to horde, alliance would be a fine faction for 99% of players. This is your reasoning that we cant have merc mode to resolve an issue effecting 60% of the player base - is that 1% of the players will be negatively impacted? LOL
What is wrong with you people who keep making these suggestions.
Faction transfers to Ally from Horde helps the Alliance and the Horde.
Merc mode and same faction BGs will destroy the Alliance even more quickly.
Now what they really should do is implement racials from retail, as those are actually balanced, making some comps stronger on Ally and some comps stronger on Horde. The difference in power is quite small however.
Stop suggesting merc mode and same faction BGs. They are not solutions.

It isn’t 1% of people. I dont play arena at the top 1%. I play arena at probably top 10% percentile of players. And it affects more than just the top players, even above 1800 rating in arena which is like 50th percentile 27.6% alliance only.

Literally you don’t have any clue what youa re talking about. Ask for transfers to alliance or reroll, that will fix your issue.
even funnier in the context of this thread - the people who play alliance for faster queues are abusing it and just AFKING
They should give horde players the option to faction change to alliance on servers with these issues. If horde don’t want to faction change to even out the playing field, then have fun with hour long ques. This is the only solution at this point without adding stuff like mercenary mode which would make alliance’s existence pointless.
Sorry we enjoy a game with two balanced factions instead of mega pvp servers with one faction. Go back to retail.
