I have rewritten an addon that will automatically rotate the screen when you go afk, I also added a “CountDown Timer” that will display before the camera spins. My question is, is this against the rules? I was never logged out to the Login screen. Just want to make sure this is acceptable.
As a general rule, if you can do it with the API then it’s allowed, and if Blizz doesn’t want you to do it they’ll change the API so you can’t.
ElvUI’s afk screen is similar.

I just made an edit to disable the addon after 20 minutes. I’m just very leery of getting banned lol. It disables it 20 minutes after you become AFK.
So using ElvUI’s afk screen keeps you from being logged out into the login screen?
Not that I’m aware of.

That’s where I’m concerned. I was on my addon for 34 minutes and was never logged out. The camera spins until you move.
