Affordability

Everyone else hating r/n but thank you Blizzard for keeping WoW affordable and not raising prices in spite of everyone else, deciding to raise prices. I may not be able to afford other things for my entertainment with rising prices but thank you for not following suit. Just bought my Fel mog and mount and I’m about to go enjoy :100: :+1:t5: :v:t5:

:man_shrugging:t5: I’m an adult the plays and pays for my own. Other adults that actually pay their own way understand. But let’s talk about it - The Shop and everything else you decide to pay for outside of the game itself, isn’t mandatory to playing the game. It really comes down to whether you want to pay for it or not, like most WANTS. As a adult consumer paying $14-16 a month for subscription to a game is peanuts in comparison to the rising costs of everything else for entertainment.

At this point the only ppl complaining about Blizzard selling cosmetics are ppl that simply can’t afford them (:man_shrugging:t5: get a side job if it’s worth it) or kids who’s sub is paid for by the parents and their parents will tell them “No”. So out of jealousy the rest of us have listen to these rants about corporate greed and morals  Even if you don’t think they are worth paying for, that’s fine, I don’t own every mog or mount from the Shop either or am trying to. I just get what I like, when I like, cuz I CAN. :man_shrugging:t5: And felt like thanking Blizzard so here we are :v:t5:

They did raise the price for many people

You have to understand…on this forum we have those sorts who think $15 a month…50 cents a day…is ‘‘too much money’’ for 24/7 access to the game

I purchased the 12 month package for this very reason. I can justify $90 worth of cool stuff and $65 worth of subscription cost over a period of 12 months allowing me to play for about $5.25 a month.

they raised the prices a lot in other countries.

Exactly, and if a few whales want to own everything, the money they spend helps keep my sub cost the same as it was when I joined… 17 yeast ago. Dear Elune, it has been that long.

I hope they continue to release those mount bundles and overpriced AH mounts if it means keeping the sub cost the same.

Alot of people buy tokens for game time and etc, so its already $20 just not for you

I haven’t paid since Dragonflight. Making 260k gold in one month just isn’t that hard if you play everyday. I’ll be able to play indefinitely unless they do another hotfix that says “You must have made a real money purchase after x time or you won’t be able to buy WoW Tokens anymore,” update.

Did they actually raise prices, or adjust for the exchange rate?

The price is relative to the product being delivered

Not how much money people make, it’s the same reason selling someone a brick for $50 isn’t a good deal

The exchange rate is raising prices, most people’s salary doesn’t adjust to inflation

The exchange rate just adjusts to other countries’ inflation, it’s no different then if they raised the price in the USA to adjust for inflation

bless your heart <3

It honestly is pretty commendable (though probably motivated by self-preservation rather than altruism) that the sub price hasn’t increased a single time since 2004.

The value of the sub continues to rise (multiple versions of Classic) but the cost stays the same. I truly appreciate that.
