How are we gonna be able to track our dots in midnight? Seems like without an addon to track dots its going to be a nightmare playing affliction effectively.
You just look at the enemy nameplates, like many of us do right now.
Single target that seems fine
AoE isnt a problem either. Its not that hard.
my god this forum
Its a genuine answer. Thats how you track your debuffs.
Iâm fine with pandemic staying as a tiny remnant of skill expression, Midnight affliction wonât need you to have everything perfectly dotted anyways since MR is getting removed.
Either way itâs not hard to do with default frames, calling it a nightmare is a laugh.
Track agony and 1 haunt? Nameplates can do it currently and the CDM will soon track debuffs.
Perma corruption is kinda nice, allows cast n forget leaving the other dots easier to manage.
yea ngl ive always just looked at the health bars
I use the target frame for my target not name plates. I do have name plates on with limited info to track groups. Tracking dots on name plates is terrible, they move around and while I do play a lock I main a feral druid, it is worse in melee. Blizzards busy patting themselves on the back because they made fancy in game cooldown tracker. My cdâs easily show on the action button bars, where you can put your dots as well, with any button aura addon that is. Too bad the button aura addons are DOA in midnight and blizzard forgot about dotsâŚneed more dots
So are mine. And I also use Blizz CD manager, so I can display important CDs and procs closer to the center where I can see them better without moving my action bars.
What is button aura Add-On?
Because staring at nameplates is such riveting gameplay that all these Midnight changes are trying to preserve right?
Staring at WA/other add-ons is better? Also, in Midnight for Afflock its not as important to have a perfect uptime of all your DoT in AoE.
If Affliction is supposed to be the titular ROT spec, and Affliction is based on DoT damage⌠It would seem to be both mechanically and thematically important for DoT uptime to be a primary concern and component?
I think itâs a valid concern with blizzard breaking addons. I donât have a lot of faith that the new UI will be capable of tracking all the buffs/procs/dots/CDâs efficiently.
While Aff is a DoT spec, in AoE it wil mostly do damage from SoC spam. You will still probably have to juggle some UAs, but Agony uptime isnt that important anymore.
Thats in AoE, in ST Aff is a true DoT spec and I dont see any issues tracking your dots in ST.
It can do it good enough right now, and it will be even better in Midnight.
Lemme let you in on a mindblowing secret. If youâre applying DoTâs in an aoe, odds are theyâll all wear off at the same time. Crazy, I know.
I am fine as long as we have a good dot tracking on boss frame as the main/single target.
