I’ll toss a seeds into the group then vile taint for the agony stacks. By then I maybe get a MR off and people are dead. Is this the way to go? If vile taint is on cd I just cycle tab agony? That seems inefficient however.
Depends. These heroics even go fast, so sometimes it’s just putting one dot on everything either seed or vile and getting as much MRs off as you can. Tab dotting between vile packs isn’t worth it on large packs that die quick.
Or just forgetting the non elite packs and use them to make sure you have 6 soul shards going into next pack. Rotate that with Soul Rot, and you almost always have some sort of burst, but if it won’t last a single seed explosion, just target the elite and single target dps into it and let splash damage do the work with the stuff that dies super quick.
Aff shines the longer the pack of elites lives and pull ahead of front loaded classes by a wide margin. Things will get easier as you climb in mythic plus when it comes out and get into higher keys.
Yeah. This is just the life of a DoT spec in low level content.
