It does but very odd that I only get locks who love facetanking warriors. But when I face affliction locks they are using soulshape, gate and their personal teleport to kite.

You are correct, aff locks are doing insane damage, however… It is consistant pressure.
We cant sit there and global you like other classes. its just constant consistant pressure the entire match. Sure the pally only did 110k damage to the warlocks 300k. But that warlocks 300k was over 2 minutes while the 110k of the pally was in 2 burst windows when he caught his target. (those numbers are completely fabricated to make a point).

Affliction will become the games strongest spec as time goes on. You already see more and more of them as people get more gear/defensive conduits.
That horrifying legendary of theirs is a one way ticket to the top. And UA enables soooo many things. (Cough, ele shaman, cough).

UA needs to not be able to crit for the love of god
and the corruption legendary is crazy. other than that i don’t see them being much of a problem unless the meta slows down, but UA is the one toxic thing about aff atm, yes dispelling should be punishing but you shouldn’t have a rng chance to die from full as a healer lmao

I really only notice how crazy their dmg is in 2’s. Not complaining, just saying they do a lot of damage. I know it takes set up but like… you can’t really stop them forever and kill them lol.
There is going to be a very large pendulum swing when the zug zugs come down juuuust a little bit. It is actually insane spread pressure if one is able to apply dots communist russia style.
Afflic does the highest damage but they have no real way to finish someone unless they get 1 shotted by ua dispel.

you play destro or demo if you want to play a finisher spec, or run with a warrior and let him execute

You “don’t see them as much of a problem” without UA and a corruption slow. Isn’t that the point though. For the class to be valid they need to be a problem. UA needs to scare people and they melt when hit so they have to kite. Without those two abilities warlocks would be in a horrible place.

False. That’s not how the spec is supposed to work. Your DoTs should be the main source of your dmg and you would need to use abilities like soul burn, haunt, shadow embrace etc… to maximize the DoTs and ensure uptime to get the most out of your dmg so that your pressure more controllable and not based on a builder/spender model like how Rapture works.
We had drain soul for so many years baseline which sort of acted like an execute ability when targets get below 20% which made the spec quite strong in the finishing aspect too.
This is what made WLS so strong. Except now you can’t because you just die to easily and you don’t have the raw DoT pressure to assist your warrior in the management of target choices/swaps unless you fight teams that are absolutely clueless and stand out in the open giving you free opportunities to hardcast in front of them.
WPS instead now feels like how WLS is supposed to feel because a spriest can pretty much do everything an aff lock should be able to do damage-wise which is why we see war/sp become prevalent so fast with the release of SL.
