Do you think there are any plans to add some additional AOE spells for affliction warlocks? The lack of options is a bit frustrating.
Rain of Fire has always been our staple so why not make that available across specs?

I doubt there’s gonna be much changes this xpac. And RoF isnt very powerful. Trust me, you dont want it.

After playing aff for a few weeks, since Aff is really a ST class, why wouldn’t they make some kind of mechanic or talent that makes shadow bolt or UA spread Corruption and Agony to another add? Open up with Agony and Corruption, spam you’re UA and spread the dots to other adds so we don’t have to constantly tab target and risk losing a DoT while going full ham on the priority add?
Don’t get me wrong, with UA down the risk of loosing a DoT then obviously increases, but if the DoT spread was effected by shadow bolt then you wouldn’t have that problem. It would make our sustain AoE much better. Right?
It’s been really bothering me as well that our AoE is horrible because let’s be honest. M+ has really turned into add management.
I pugged a 11motherload last week and the other DPS thought i was AFK on trash cause I wasn’t doing massive damage like them.
My tank buddy who was running with me was like nahh that’s just aff on trash.
The hunter that made the comment then goes “wow…” then continued to spent more time making fun of my aoe dps.
We get to the first boss I walk over everyone doing 2x the damage and dps of all of them…
and the My buddy goes and that’s why we bring him.
(the rest of the dungeon not a word from the hunter) silence…
felt good, but at the same time I was like… aff aoe really is that bad - unless you are popping DS:M and Darkglare on trash packs.

Well, they could buff RoF if it is that weak right now. I like it. That is why I did the green fire quest so I could actually see green fire.
Play demo 10 chars
I would say just go Demo. I played aff lock all last expansion and most of this expansion as well because I enjoyed the play style except for in mythic+. I downright hated running mythic+ this expansion because of it. Destro is ok in mythic+ but Demo is really really good for ST and AOE right now.
If DPS is in your mind I recommend running demo. I’m beating most AFF locks in ST also currently.
You should be. Demo is literally the top performing spec atm.
Affliction fell off to lower tier.
To the guy who beat the hunter in your +11, not a real feat unless he was survival. Both hunter specs are now bottom 5. Mm is last on logs and BM is 3rd last.
Most logs now have mythic uldir on farm. They have extremely fast kill times and just train the best whilst ignoring mechanics they had to deal with on progress. Lots of those mid-tier classes are actually pretty good where a majority of the playerbase is at. Logs aren’t everything you know.

BM or MM arent “mid” tier they are bottom 3.
Also if you remember legion BM fell off there aswell.
Not about these ignored mechanics or kill times. BM just doesn’t scale like any other class does, but that’s been its issue for a long time…thank god this small indie company is so good at balancing.
Wonder if tables were turned and your spec was bottom 3 on logs and I gave you some trash excuse if you would accept it and be happy about it?
Except padding isn’t all there is to raiding? BM is one of the most mobile specs in the game, lots of top guilds have 2 or more at all times, no matter how bad they are at padding the meters.

Yea I have forsaken affliction this xpac. Drove me to hate my warlock after a month or two - sucks in M+ and tedious to kill basic things like WQ mobs. Just go demo, it’s super fun and really strong all around right now.
