Any other users of this mouse?
I’ve been using it for 2 years, although I had to replace mine for another of the same model as my old one gave up recently.
I noticed there’s now a WoW collaboration with steelseries for this mouse and am wondering how many are finally finding out about this BiS mouse through that.
I used to use a Razar Naga Trinity long ago but it had double click issues and synapse was a dumpster fire. I also had a Redragon m913 but that had a m-key rollover issue (if you hold right click while pressing its keypad it assumes the wrong key was pressed) and its battery gave up. Finally landed on the aerox9 as it’s the only mmo mouse on the market that’s both wireless and doesn’t hurt your hand from weight while still retaining 12 side buttons.
Tried it.
Mouse is bad.
$150 pet.
Besides the 123 buttons being far out of reach, if the mouse cursor nudges when hitting a side button its a hard pass.
That flaw limits ideal features of being used for mouseovers, shift modifiers, and spamming keys.
If you like to just use side buttons to solely press cooldowns its probably fine, but I use mouse buttons specifically for targeting, focus modifiers, and mouseover keys.
What I wish was easier to find was information on how durable something like a mouse is. Features and price are the headliners, but I have to dig pretty deep when looking for info about how long I can be expected to use this thing before it starts wearing out and I have to buy a new one.
Not be a shill but that’s another reason I like Logitech. I’ve had several mice wear down over time and replaced for free (specifically G600 and G903 mice). With Razer you’re just sol.
I used the Logitech G600 for YEARS before swapping to this mouse. It’s fine… The buttons on the side don’t feel as good as the G600, but it’s lighter and feels nicer in my hand overall.
Another issue with the side buttons is that they seem to die really quick with regular use… I’ve had to RMA mine twice in as many years because the 4 and 5 on the side become unresponsive, and it appears my 3rd one is starting to have the same issue. Their support is always pretty quick and they replace the mouse for free, but for the price, I feel like it shouldn’t need to be replaced yearly.
I just wish Logitech would release an updated G600 honestly.
I will never buy anything else from Steelseries. They made the perfect mouse, the Rival 500 and then discontinued it and made this piece of trash with a number pad on the side like everyone else.
