Advice for Timewalking WoD Dungeons?

So just attempted Skyreach Time walker dungeon. Got my rear handed to me by I think the third boss, Rukhan. Adventure guide said to avoid killing the Solar Flares near piles of ash which I tried to but… you know how it goes with four other people.
Out of expansion dungeons WoD is the one I have the least memories of. I don’t want to just give up on them because they seem too difficult though. Any advice anyone could share with me to make randoms less hectic?

Did you LoS the bird bosses feather attack as well?

That’s pretty much his dangerous thing

Everyone just has to do simple mechanics. The feathers are the main thing the boss does, yea the adds are annoying but easily dealt with.

Skyreach is currently the worst WoD dungeon to deal with, next to Grim Rail Depot according to people.

The group generally has to be super careful with killing the birds away from the ash piles (I’d suggest downing them exactly where they spawn), and immediately going behind the pillar to avoid the quills. The quills can destroy a DPS within a second. Around five seconds for a tank.

Get yourself a tw set and just solo everything after your group dies.

Related note: What’s the ilvl WoD dungeons are scaling to now? Wondering if my old tw set is still good since they changed ilvl scaling in prepatch.

No idea. All I know, is that I had a 386 ilvl on my Evoker and I was getting smashed.

You have to tell them not to tunnel the boss. They probably won’t listen until the third wipe.

Gear scaling has changed a LOT in this expansion. WoD dungeons will drop ilvl 190 gear for a level 59 in Chromie time. Your ilvl 50 gear is now 137. Except for Legion gear, whose ilvl hasn’t changed.

Tried to first time around, got hit by something and died. Moment I thought the pillar didn’t count as “cover” looking back on the data it tells me I got killed by the birds.

After the third wipe they all just abandoned the dungeon. Which kind of disappointed me but that’s their decision, not mine.

My experience was that if you told them, “Kill birds, don’t tunnel the boss”, some players would still continue to tunnel the boss when birds needed to be killed.

Kind of like that last boss in The Underrot, where the boss takes no damage and dies when players kill the adds. Tell them to kill the adds and cleanse the floor if you get cleansing light, and they tunnel the boss and run out the cleanse.
