Advice for levelling past expac blacksmithing

levelling cata blacksmithing feels like i’m undergoing one of the great tasks of hercules

my main gripe is:
i gather 100 ore → process into bars → i now have 50 bars → process bars into xyz material → i now have 25 xyz material

is there anything i can do to increase mining yields at all? i’d rather not pay the ridiculous ah prices just to grind it out for xmog

There is the wow profession site. Gives a precise grocery list and path to max skills in the least costly way. Cara mats are among the most costly to get I agree, so grab that mining pick and start banging if the AH disagrees with ya.
